I think the issue is if you consider Watson or Wentz top 5 then you have to consider Dak. I don’t consider any of them top 5 however. Mahomes, Russ, Lamar, Brees and Rodgers are my top 5.......then after that you can debate all those guys.

Not completely sold on Lamar right now. Love the guy in EXACTLY the offense he is running. But not sure about being in a typical offense without the perfect personnel for what he does around him.

He is helped by immensely great coaching. Belli type coaching.

Did he break Kellen Moore’s foot? Lol, 4th round pick in 4 years in the league with an absolute imbecile as HC, has done better than anybody expected him to. Nonsense. This video reinforces that Dak isn't worth what's he's asking which is to be paid like he's not only a top 5 QB but like he's the #1 QB.

Being critical of paying him that kind of money doesn't make you a troll. I disagree with you strongly on Zeke but that's your opinion and doesn't make you wrong or a troll.

I'm all for keeping Dak if the price is right. Otherwise he can walk his arse right out the door and see if any other team comes calling at the price he's asking.

I think there would be a debate if Rodgers and Brees are top five at this point in their careers. They certainly aren’t carrying teams by themselves anymore.

4th round pick, starts from year #1 in a pinch and 4 years later he is considered by the experts to be between 6-9. That is off the charts incredible. Could be one of the best picks in franchise history.

Your rant would make sense if Dak was somehow responsible for setting the price on the QB market. He isn’t asking anything that other QBs of his caliber - see Wentz and Goff have gotten. And remember both those guys weren’t playing the first years in the league at a discount price and at no point in Daks career was anyone questioning his health or ability to play the position.

Agreed. Just like anyone that thinks Dak is not a top 10 QB should be equally banned.

I think if we could eliminate those 2 troubled groups we could have some educated, realistic conversations on here.

I'll say give Jackson more than a year - he was on a team that was way better than ours last year so we don't know what a regular year would appear like for him. And I think Dak is better than Watson or at least equal. He has similar stats, both average about a 10-6 record, both 1-2 in the playoffs. Dak has higher highs but lower lows. Watson seems to be more consistent though, but for Dak's highs I'll take him over Watson.

I think Dak deserves a season in his prime with a REAL HC and a complete team. I think we have a shot at that this year.

Lamar is in the perfectly designed offense for his skills with the perfect coach and personnel for him to be doing it. In that environment he is incredible. Not sure he looks so good on the Cowboys with Garrett trying to fit him into a Romo offense.

Watson is great in the moment and on those last drives when he can utilize his legs and play making ability. But stuck in a timing based, pocket QB offense he struggles to run the offense.

I personally couldn't care less what other QBs get. I want a SB win and all evidence points to this team not winning one if they pay Dak what he wants.

Now to be clear this is just MHO. I've no illusions about Dak and the Cowboys. I'm fairly certain he'll be signed before the deadline and I hope I'm proven wrong.

I think everyone can agree that all these QB's are overpaid and guys that aren't top 5 should not get top 5 money.

He actually goes out of his way to tell you its a waste of time to complain about it.
