With Gallup and Lamb, I don't see Cooper setting the world on fire., and in big games I don't think he will continue to improve and be productive.

Cooper is the best receiver on the team until proven otherwise. If you have a problem with Cooper start a thread about him. This is about Gallup.

Some folks don't realize just how good he was last year, especially for a second year WR with room to grow.

2019, Receiving Yards per Game

1. Michael Thomas. 107.8
2. Chris Godwin. 95.2
3. Julio Jones. 92.9
4. Mike Evans. 89
5. Davonte Adams. 83.1
6. Michael Gallup. 79.1
7. DJ Moore. 78.3
8. DeAndre Hopkins. 77.7
9. Travis Kelce. 76.8
10. Robert Woods. 75.6

I'm hoping Gallup's upside continues to come into play as well as it has to this point in his career. He needs to eliminate the drops that hampered his effectiveness a bit too frequently last year. Hopefully, his concentration won't betray him quite as often, either. He should be ready to refine his game to a point where he's ready to command attention equal to the others. With Cee Dee around, if Gallup can't improve, he'll see fewer targets. I wish him well.

With the addition of number 88, Cooper will want to prove he is still the number one in this offense.

With the addition of number 88, Gallup will want to prove he still belongs in the starting lineup.

With the addition of number 88, this offense is going to light up the scoreboard.

The Amari Cooper contract was unnecessary. He should have been tagged. Imagine if they did that - Lamb falls in their lap and Cooper because expendable after this season. Could have bridged Gallup and saved significant money. These are the FO mistakes that hold this organization back.

I think Eagles definitely would have jumped us for Ceedee Lamb if Amari was just on a tag.

This guy had a great year.

Despite all the gloom that was 2019, he shined.

3rd year may set this guy on fire.

Enjoy.

Lamb is just a bigger threat than Cobb was.

They probably still want to double Cooper, so if you want to worry more about Lamb, you have to take some heat off Gallup, who was already a 1100+ yards WR at 9.8 yards per target.

Giggity!

Dallas is just going to have some matchup problems for teams.

Even Jarwin should be a problem for teams with all the attention our wideouts will be getting.

I can’t remember a team having 3 wideouts this good in awhile.

If Zeke gets rolling and we start seeing man coverage then we could see a lot of big plays.

That's what I'm looking forward to seeing! Imagine trying to cover Coop, Gallup, and Lamb all at the same time! :flagwave:

I'm such a greedy SOB.....I say there is plenty of room for all three.

Toss in Jarwin and Zeke....how are they going to defend this? They have to respect the running game.

McCarthy used 4 WR’s his SB year (Driver, Jones, Jennings, Nelson). At full peak, his offense uses all 4. Hoping we can hit full peak this season.

That's going to be fun to watch this year!

Maybe, but I will tell you this....
Its going to be really entertaining watching Cowboy WRs stressing out our opponents' DBs.
Not every team is 3-4 deep that can hang with 3 possible WR1, in Coop, Gallup, Lamb.
There will be a fall out in coverage schemes against most opponents, and I haven't taken the time yet to start analyzing matchups, schedule just came out a week ago.
Just saying that having an actual brain functioning staff now with MM and crew, and Lamb falling in our lap, it is going to be really entertaining looking at opposing teams secondary
matchup issues all season long.
All Dak has to do is just be a system QB, all the components are in place on offense to create significant mismatches, because somebody is going to end up in single coverage
vs an inferior defender.
That's where an actual functional brain trust comes in to play, and what as Cowboys fans for the past decade have forgotten what the term "scheme" actually means because of the ******** redhead, and that is in no way meant to be disrespectful to the mentally challenged, or red headed people, not trying to be funny here, Im serious.
JG misrepresented both categories, and he was a silver spoon Ivy Leaguer that has been granted way too much respect in this league,, its truly amazing actually when you think about it.
Jarwin and Zeke will be keys in the balance, and being able to take advantage of receiving matchup opportunities, and Pollard is just an added developing threat.

Your exactly correct, and why I keep looking at Pollard being used as more of a WR in the slot, 4th receiver in a lot of games.

‘18 and ‘19 were horrible drafts. I don’t think he’ll be forgotten but will end up in a Patrick crayon 3rd WR role, good for 2 catches a game.

I love that all 3 are on the team. I agree it is going to be a matchup nightmare. The hard cap sucks.

True, but the trick in todays game is to strike while the iron is hot.
Its very difficult for every team to put the equation together when dealing with the cap, that's the importance of a smart FO.
This Cowboys team I believe has the equation on offense this season that could take this team deep in contention.
Its just paper right now,, but I study all teams rosters Im sick that way,, lol
This offense is setup right now to exploit defensive weakness, and that's about all you can ask from a FO build perspective.
