Nobody considers Dak and Dalton to be in the same "realm in the QB world". Even his biggest doubters won't even admit that.

I’ve seen quite a few people that share the opinion that Dak and Dalton aren’t too far off from one another.

I’ve always said Dak is better than Dalton as well.

But there isn’t this huge gap in talent between Dak and Dalton.

They are both in that spectrum of QBs that given similar situations will get similar results.

You put guys like them with the Jets and maybe they aren’t so good. You put them with Sean Payton and maybe they don’t lose a game for a couple months while Brees hand heals.

(Still can’t believe the Saints beat us without scoring a TD. Thanks Dak.)

Dak does nothing special on the field. The biggest thing we can praise him for is his consistency and intangibles. Not his playmaking ability or his ability to snatch victory from the hands of defeat.

Dak is solid..

Not true. I think they're both in the same realm.
Then you think far too highly of Dalton. And I can't blame you because you didn't watch him play and you are probably one of these guys that hears "he made the playoffs in his first 4 years".

You watch these guys play you can tell what is what. I think its easy for people to assume because a guy doesn't have a great supporting cast that if he had one he'd be even better. But that's never how it works.

Paying the Dak whatever he wants is fine with a lot of people because their is still this mentality that QBs are impossible to find and if you have a decent one then pay him whatever he wants.

But that mentality is hurting teams chances at winning a Super Bowl and fans and local media types just haven’t come to grips with it yet.

The problem is we have idiots like that guy that wrote the article about trading for Wilson and he didn't even so much as bother to check if he had a no trade clause in his contract. So now everyone thinks everyone is like him. The guy in your video is not lazy and checks all details. He doesn't have a favorite team and is on the outside looking in. Do I agree with him on everything? Absolutely not.

My question is, what does it take to be qualified to have an opinion on whether or not Dak should be one of the highest paid QBs in the league? An advanced stat analyst? A cap guru? Local media? Doesn't sound like football types to me. Probably never played football a day in their lives but are somehow experts. They should probably still to games like chess and covering domestic violence cases in the media. I know I know, Emmitt Smith. Do people really think any prominent X Cowboys player is going to come out and crap all over Dak? They're not on the outside looking in.

Good luck selling out your draft for the QB crapshoot.

Mayfield, Trubisky, Goff, Haskins, and many more all say hi.

Go with Josh Allen, Wentz, Darnold, Jackson,Mahomes, Watson, remember the glass is half full.
Or you can just stay with 8-8 Dak and beat up on the DOG teams in the league and keep believing that at some point Dak will get better.
Year 5 coming up......

Lol, more talking heads. It funny that the only people that hold this opinion on Dak are the national media type that routinely demonstrate they do not check details and just try to create controversy for ratings / clicks.

Film guys, advance stats analysits, cap gurus & most local media who follow the Cowboys closely all support paying Dak.

Cowboys fan base is easily falls prey to blowhards. Sad!

What cap guru thinks it's a good idea to pay Dak? How much are the Eagles paying him?

What are you looking for him to do special? This isn't the NBA. He can't put up a triple double to show his worth. He can't do a 360 dunk. What are you looking for in him to deem him "special"?

Because if we are honest with ourselves....you are considered "special" and "elite" based on what you do in the playoffs. Matthew Stafford has all the talent in the world but no one calls him special because he hasn't had much success in the post season.

I agree with you but Dak’s mechanics are getting better.. He is getting sharper.

The problem is there is still not a lot of playmaking ability from him. He has a low ceiling.

One thing that has always bothered me about Dak is he doesn’t run as much as he should.

Him running is what could make him a little more special on the football field. His arm talent will never make him special.

It is so frustrating watching him not take 10 yards of space in front of him at times and just getting the 1st down.

Bring him to Dallas please.

We’ve field some solid teams with Dak in his 1st 4 years while his contract gave us a huge advantage.

1 playoff win to show for it.

Some of the worst special teams in football - dead last in multiple categories as recently as last season - and a defense that got steamrolled for 270 yards rushing in a playoff game by a guy not named Todd Gurley.

As long as the Cowboys are putting garbage like that on the field they're only going to go so far, regardless of who plays QB. Hopefully the new coaching staff can do something about it.

I lol when people start blaming the special teams.

The NFL is trying to do away with special teams.

The only job a special teams has is don’t screw it up for the rest of the team.

Special teams has almost been completely made a non factor by the NFL.

We’re going to blame the Cowboys lack of success on special teams? That’s so very Jason Garrett of you.

Nobody said he needed a great defense. People just said he needed something better than the worst special teams and the worst team in regards to turnovers. You can't be "the worst at" on 2 out of the 3 facets of the game. That's disaster for any quarterback.

Were the problems with the defense the players or just bad coaching.

I'm sorry but Dak's mechanics are NOT getting better.
He is the PREVENT defense KING of Kings and it's about the only time he can move the team with his arm.
Of course, we have already LOST the game at this point.....

The defense played a not to lose brand of football.

They tried their best to not give up the big play.

Did they create turnovers? No.

But my gosh we had games last year like the Patriots, Saints, and probably some others I can’t think of off the top of my head where we kept point totals low and the low risk QB who was building his completion percentages up forgot that Completion percantages don’t win football games and we weren’t putting points on the board.

No, it will not. If their crippled, it will be the aggregate effect of the OL, WR, RB, DE and LB.

The price of a QB1 is going up and by 2022, Prescott will not even be in the top 5. It is the other contracts that are going to be a problem because every team is going to have 30M going to their QB1 on a 2nd contract.

Everything the guy in the videos said has been hashed and rehashed multiple times, I could have done both videos and said the same thing.

Move along folks, nothing to see here...
