Unfortunately it doesn’t make sense any longer. The Cap simply doesn’t allow most teams to sit a QB 2 or 3 years. It’s a different league now in that respect.

Nobody blindly sits a QB for 2 or 3 years. LOL

There is that little part called...…..EVALUATION. Chances are, you aren't going to hit right away. But if you start now, you have a couple tries to find the right guy. Whenever the a young kid is ready, you can decide what to do. Either trade the incumbent, goto the young kid, whatever.

Does that make it more clear for you or do you need more help understanding?

pointing out the obvious is not frustration anymore than criticizing a player makes one a hater. it is you who never supports your opinion with any facts. just the same old redundant idiot jerry line. that's all you've got. the fact you think jerry cares about public opinion suggests extreme naivete on your part.

One trick pony. Dumb theory after dumb theory. And when he gets cornered, just revert back to Jerry Jones being a bad owner. LOL

Something that everyone can agree on anyway.

You’re certainly entitled to your opinion. And my opinions are supportive of the actions Jerry has taken and vibe I read and hear from the local media and beat writers which I often align with.

Jerry obviously is swayed by public opinion .Stephen and others have his ear as well.

Parcells said it best” you have to convince Jerry to go against his instincts”.

The only way it makes sense is if a team drafts a QB after the first round, and even 2nd round is hard because that's a pretty high draft pick to use on a player you don't plan to be in the lineup for a few years. Dak would have been a great one to groom if Romo could have stayed healthy. The Pats generally have a 2nd/3rd round QB on the roster to groom as well, although most have ended up on other teams because Brady has played so long.

So I guess we are starting Dennucci next year? Since we are no longer allowed to "groom" QB's anymore. LOL

Always think you have to belittle people to make your point. Buzz off if you can’t be more cordial. Tough internet bully.

Of course no one sits a QB in Cap era 2 or 3 years.

they did. clowney hasn't signed with them. but they lost vaitai, Jordan howard, darby, hill, Agholor, nigel bradham and Malcolm Jenkins.

Just because you don't resign someone does not mean it's due to the CAP.

You really think they wanted Agholor back? Nigel Bradham is still on the street. They could have kept Howard if they wanted.

Vaita & Jenkins are the only players that left for big money. Vaitai wanst even a starter for them.

Nobody cares about Jerry buddy. EVERY fan already knows he sucks. This is old old news. You are the ONLY clown that talks about it. As if you are the genius that thought it up and you are fighting the rest of us on the point. LOL

No, its just like he said...…..just pointing out the obvious. You say dumb things you get called out for being dumb. That's the way it works on here. No different for me or anyone else.

And he completely nailed you on your "revert to Jerry" when you get in trouble.

How long did Garrappolo sit? Cooper rush? How long will Denucci sit? Romo?

So draft a guy, check him out for one year then play him or cut him? You remain clueless at best.

Dennucci is converting to safety like Jamail Showers did. Or DE. We have a hole to fill on the right side. Maybe center.

I think Daks contract has gone past the point of him being a Cowboy. I just don't see it getting done. He will hold hold out!

You obviously misinterpreted my post. I said you can’t sit a QB for 2 or 3 years. You’re a butthole. B off

I don't pretend to know why the eagles do as they do. but they had to get money to sign the two you mentioned and letting those others go was certainly one way to get it. we let Beasley go. we let cobb go. we let Byron jones go. all over money issues.

sign him but you cant do it over what he is worth...honestly at this point, im over it. 35Mil for him is too much annually, hes just not worth it....i hope he plays on the tag but if i were dallas I would trade him if i could...

We let Beasley go then upgraded him for cheaper. We let Cobb go and them upgraded him for cheaper.

We didn't value Jones at the $$ he would cost. That doesn't mean we could not have kept him if we did.

It's all about the positions you value relative to those you think you can save at & QB is the most valuable position.

I like that your arguments are always buttressed by fact or common sense. the jury's still out on jones, but I think the secondary will be fine without him. and a lot less money.

Just go with the 4-year deal and be done with it.

If the Jones’ keep messing around with this style of “wait until the deadline” negotiations, then Watson and Mahommes will set and reset the QB market, and essentially blow-up Dak’s current price. At that point, there’s no choice but to play him on the tag.

We should’ve signed him last year before Zeke. Shoot, should’ve signed before Goff and Wentz. Probably could’ve gotten a lower deal than they got.
