Moderator Edit: Do not post comments about politicians or religious leaders in this thread.

I was thinking. People's personalities some you can get along with and others you know there is no way ever. Celebs are well known and who you think you get along with and the celebs never not a chance to be friends.

I could be friends with.
Mel Gibson. Lot of Hollywood hates him,but I think he is genuine guy.

Kanye West I respect he walks on his own. Little bit unpredictable but I do believe he realized he was a fool in the past. He is a real guy.

Could not be friends with.
Snoop Dog. To me he is a phony with the "I'm so cool BS". I smoke grass. I don't think the guy has anything special about himself. He constantly has tried to be a actor, game show host.,involved in sports like he is a expert. The truth I think he is a clown.

Oprah Winfrey- Just her I know everything and I need to lecture everyone annoys the crap out of me. Yeah Oprah you know everything I got two words for yah. " Jenny Craig". Just get off your throne of self righteous BS.

So how about you?

Neil DeGrasse Tyson is someone I think I could be friends with, but then again, who couldn't?

As for actors, it's impossible to know what most are really like. I know one guy who's an actor, and he's pretty much the same way he is in his roles, except he's a womanizer. Great guy otherwise. He's mostly done soap operas, but he was the costar of a short lived prime time show, opposite Denise Richards. I introduced my niece to him once, and I could tell she knew who he was. It was the first time in her 20 something years I'd ever seen her blush.

Celebrities are never what they seem to be. They always have a public persona that is usually starkly different from what you see. Most of the time they are much nicer in their public persona than they normally are. Or they intentionally come off more kooky. The other issue is being a celebrity tends to lead to elitism and self-entitlement in most cases. Neil DeGrasse Tyson was brought up. In public that guy exudes charisma, but he is an abundance of elitism and entitlement. He is still a very cool guy, but he isn't exactly on my I wish we were friends list. Hearing people talk about themselves all the time is a bit hard to deal with for me. That's probably why I hate narcissist. heh Guess who I hate?

Politicians, especially well known ones are tend to suffer from this too. Sometimes they don't even have to be well know, yet you hear about verbal abuse cases from family and most of the time from their own staff.

I mean, look at me. I'm not a celebrity, but I have a case of the be-nasties to everyone around me.

Jerks, I'm trying to eat here! GET OFF MY LAWN!

I would like to meet some of the founding fathers of our county. ...and yes, I know I would NOT agree with a lot of what they say. Though, I would like to hear their reasoning. They ended up starting a world power from a seedling of a country. Even if it doesn't always take the path they first intended.

Politically I can get along with anyone as long as they aren't in your face about it in a personal setting. Same with religiously...so someone's views on either isn't an automatic acceptance or rejection.

From all anecdotes about the guy, I think I could be friends with Keanu Reeves.

The list of could never hang reminds me of Adam corolla's list of women that would be disgusted to have sex with him.

I would like to hang with Keanu he seems like a honestly off the wall nice guy and Tom Hanks would be fun.

I met David Duchovny and Drew Bledsoe recently. They’re both very down to earth. Oh and I met Shawn Kemp recently. He’s a bit more reserved.
You live in Washington State? Not sure about David Duchovny, but Bledsoe has great a winery in the Walla Walla Valley. I'm guessing ol' Shawn Kemp still lives up there with his 4,643 kids.

I'm going to keep mine more sports related but i'd go with these guys:

Hang out/friends

Dirk
Mark Cuban
Romo
Dak
Sean Lee
Cuban is an asshat. Dirk was always cool. Never met any of the others beyond a handshake with Romo, but everything says he is just like Dirk.
