FOX MULDERI met David Duchovny and Drew Bledsoe recently. They’re both very down to earth. Oh and I met Shawn Kemp recently. He’s a bit more reserved.

You live in Washington State? Not sure about David Duchovny, but Bledsoe has great a winery in the Walla Walla Valley. I'm guessing ol' Shawn Kemp still lives up there with his 4,643 kids.
I met Mark Cuban and Rachel Ray a few years back in The Caymans at Rum Point. I actually sat on the beach with Cuban and his family for about an hour. People were coming up to him for pics and autographs the entire time and I felt bad for the dude. I didn't ask for a thing so he finally says to me "You must not be a Mavs fan" and I said no, basketball in general. He seemed like a good guy and was very patient with the people ruining his family vacation. Rachel Ray not so much. She was shooing people away from her table with RBF and cramming food down her mouth as fast as she could do it.
Coolest dude I ever met though was Barry Switzer. I was a golf pro for several years and we hosted a coaches clinic every year that brought in the big names. I've briefly met Saban, Dabo, Wade Phillips, Joe Avezzano, Jimbo, Gene Stallings, and Kingsbury among others. Most no more than a handshake and a tee time, but I hit it off with Switzer and played a round with him 3 of the 5 years he attended. I know folks around here like to rag on him, but don't kid yourselves. Barry Switzer has more sports knowledge in his pinkie finger than most of this forum. I'm talking boxing, MMA, golf, olympics, horse racing, and everything else under the sun. It was like talking to the sports page. He was polite, friendly, funny, and very down to earth. For a kid raised with such a rough upbringing he had a lot of success and happiness in his life.
I'll leave out the celebrity I could never be friends with out since it would be political.

I think Switzer's only problem in Dallas in that his heart wasn't in it. He was here mostly as a favor to Jerry, I think.I met Mark Cuban and Rachel Ray a few years back in The Caymans at Rum Point. I don't think that's true at all. Of course, there are some like that, but I think a lot of celebrities are very humble.Pretty much all celebrities.
They are too full of themselves.
Hell, the first thing he did was try and reunite Booger and Johnson.I think Switzer's only problem in Dallas in that his heart wasn't in it. He was here mostly as a favor to Jerry, I think.
I was pretty excited upon meeting both Emmitt and Jay Novacek, but I wasn't star struck. I'm not sure who, if anyone would cause me to be. I'd be tripping all over myself if I ever met Kate Beckinsale, but that has nothing to do with her celebrity.I don't know any well enough to know whether I could be friends with them or not but one thing I do know, I wouldn't want to be a celebrity. This social distancing that recently came along was just the ticket for me. In fact, 6' isn't enough.
I've never been affected by celebrity status and really only appreciate them for the entertainment they provide. I don't care what they do outside of that. They make me cry, laugh, feel and think, they've already connected with me.
