Pretty fair comments overall from their fans too lol. It seems from this comment section that they are higher on Dak than I would think. Some even wanted him as their QB. Anyway, interesting analysis.

Here’s his conclusion for those who aren’t into clicking links:

So Who’s Better?
Congratulations on making it this far (either for the diligence of your reading, or the speed of your scrolling). You’ve made it to the finale, where I tell you who I think is better.

I really don’t know. I hate to disappoint you, but I really don’t. I thought Dak was better by a hair before I started, and now that I’m done, I think Wentz might be better by a hair. Perhaps if I watched another 20 games, I’d flip back the other way.“

A good analysis, indeed. Accuracy is still my biggest complaint, and throwing receivers open. Footwork has improved, but i'm still not seeing it translate. Bugs me beyond belief.

I argued last summer that Dak's inaccuracies was due to his poor foot work. I think Kitna helped him tremendously in that area and he improved a lot last year. His late throws in previous years was due to him not trusting his arm and his own accuracy....when his footwork improved, we started to see him be more accurate and make more of the throws and trust himself. its only been one off season and season, so it takes time for it to sink in and be second nature. he still has to work on his feet, and that will take another off season and season, but if he continues he should improve.....

I will say what Wentz did last season was impressive.

He literally had no weapons and still got the team to the playoffs.

But his durability is a huge red flag.

I mean we are comparing the the 2 pick to the 135th pick , and the 135th pick is playing on or above the level of the #2 pick. :D

They also traded for that second overall pick. They gave up a 4th that they could have used on Dak Prescott, a top ten pick (close to where we took Zeke) and a #3 (Maliek Collins), a 2018 #2 (Conner Williams) and then a 2017 draft pick that was eventually used to select....

wait for it.....

Deshaun Watson.

I actually agree with Kaiser, at least Wentz is on a recent Super Bowl winner.

He had the #11 rushing attack in the NFL, arguably the best TE combo in the NFL, and 4 O-Linemen who are frequently and repeatedly on All-Pro teams and/or Pro Bowl teams.

So, while true his WR group was lacking, to suggest his entire offense was is not correct.

Ever since the Eagles drafted Jalen Hurts, there has been a faction of Eagles fans that want Wentz gone. The writer is obviously one of them.

Hes talking about AFTER they were hit by the injury bug.

Lane Johnson
Desean Jackson
Alshon Jeffrey
Jordan Howard
Jason Peters
Darren Sproles
Zach Ertz
Nelson Agholor

All missed time. When our offense suffers injuries, we lose to the Jets

Where the players were drafted is not part of the analysis,
The question was "who is better?", not who is better for the cost...just who is better.
Agreed. Draft status only matters coming into the league, but once there is league experience to point at that becomes the standard for judging. I would say neither Dak or Wentz run away with it if judging who is better. I would say Dak for now because he has held up and been more dependable, but I don't think that gives him an iron grip on the ranking.
