I was under the assumption that Randy Gregory filed for reinstatement on or before March 22. I also thought the NFL had "60" days to rule on any reinstatements.

We're easily beyond the 60 day reinstatement deadline, so can anyone clarify why this is still unresolved?

There is a footnote that says "60 days unless its a Cowboy and Goodell is waiting for Mara to tell him what to do".

Three points to ponder:
  • I hope Randy Gregory gets reinstated. But more importantly, I hope he gets his life together.
  • We have a family member who like Randy Gregory, suffers from bipolar depression. It is only managed with proper medication and lots of support from family and friends.
  • Thankfully, this team’s fortunes do not ride on whether or not RG is back or not.

Someone on this board a few weeks back predicted that Aldon Smith would be reinstated most likely rather than Gregory. I fear he may be right, but let's hope he was wrong.

I did. Don’t know if anyone else predicted it, but I said they must have determined Gregory would have a much bigger positive impact on our roster. They added Smith just to tone down the protest from the HUGE Cowboy fanbase.

Same here my friend, there is treatment yet some self medicate for such reasons as they start feeling "better" and feel they no longer need their meds. Or they don't like a side effect. Some also dont like being labelled as having a "mental health" problem. Funny thing is it's like me taking a pill once a day for my diabetes, One pill and I feel so much better. It's basically the same thing.

My guess is the league office has provided a response to Gregory and the Cowboys. That response isn’t favorable to Gregory. More time is being taken before he is conditionally reinstated or a flat out denial is officially announced. My gut feeling is he probably failed or missed a test after filing for reinstatement.

Although Archer did print that in March he claims now that Randy applied after Aldon. Maybe like Fish has said that covid19 has delayed the process.

With Aldon Smith reinstated, Randy Gregory remains in the return process, according to his agent, Peter Schaffer. Gregory, who applied for reinstatement after Smith, has had multiple violations of the substance-abuse policy since 2015. “We are very... https://es.pn/2LK8hGD

Smith is older and farther removed from playing than Gregory, so he’s more of a risk to be ineffective. But at their primes it isn’t even close. Smith was a generational talent and one of the best players in the NFL. Gregory was potential with a few flashes.
