Since there are countless threads on the topic, I thought an official poll might be in order.

What do you think the Cowboys should offer Dak?
The problem is that all of your choices are less than he wants. Unless maybe you mean 35/yr for 4 years, but with 105 guaranteed.

...the tag is already a nice money bag. Wanting more, is I presume is based on stats. We know that means nothing. Look at Romo. Get to us to the NFCCG at least.

The first option is $35+ which covers $35 million and anything above.

4yr 140m 115m GTD and end this.

I think it will end up like that, right at what Goff got. I didn't vote in the choices above because it doesn't break out guaranteed money vs total dollars when the guaranteed money is the only thing that really counts.

yeah and the 2nd 2 are something most know dak would not accept, and even be offended so why offer that ?
yet 5 people picked those :omg::muttley:
and the first one should just say give dak whatever he wants.

At this point it’s a train wreck. Mahomes and Watson are about to sign and both will get $40M per year.

Dak’s future is one year on the franchise tag and a new quarterback in 2021. Sad but true.

Just get it over with. If they offer him too much then we can constantly complain that he is not worth his contract.

I'm trending toward Tag and Trade if they can't get a long term contract they're happy with this year. I think he's aiming at the Kirk Cousins career path.

We get the most value out of signing Dalton to such an under market contract by starting him. Trade Dak.

Trade value for Dak plus 30mil of extra cash could improve the team this year a lot. I'm thinking significantly more than Dak is better than Dalton.

and what if they reject that offer???
2 reports have it around 35m and 110m GTD. Fish reported the offer on the table is 35m and north of 106m GTD. Clarence Hill reported from Dak camp it was north of 34m but not 35m and it matched the 110m GTD Goff got. Both said it was the years. SO that says Dak is fine with it on a 4yr deal, but Cowboys want that on a 5yr deal. So my 115m GTD isnt even necessary.

If the both are right, then the Cowboys should have done gave him the 4yr deal. 35m is market, yes it is market, and the 110 GTD is actually under market. In this years cap, Goffs contract would be 140m(35m) and 115m GTD. On a 5yr deal the GTD would have to be at least ~125m and that is probably a low number and probably closer to 130m GTD. If they want that extra year of player control at a cost efficient price, they are going to have to pay for it.
