Hang on, its your assumption that " you just didn't like the results because it wasn't critical of Dak".

Its that kind of comment thats:

1) Incorrect - i'm middle of the road like yourself.
2) Indicates a quick fire reactionary approach to any comment they think is anti-Dak.

Its the posters that think EVERYTHING must support Dak (even stupid comparisons to what the Cowboys have done with contracts in the past).

All that matters is the here and now.

Apart for that I totally agree with the post.

Oh well, I guess we'll just have to agree to agree.

Well, then maybe it's time for a market adjustment. Defense wins championships. A great defense will give your offense more opportunities to score. He may have put up nearly 5k yards last year but, he was only 1-6 against good teams. Pay for an elite defense first!
Out scoring the opponent wins championships, and there is no one single formula for how to do that. There has to be some contribution from both sides of the ball though.

as for the market, an adjustment would require all teams to ease up on QB pay. One team can’t do that on its own.

Pay Dak the $40-45M he's so selfishly demanding or spread that cash around on the defense???

Imagine the players we could acquire for that kind of coin!!

Please, Jerry!!! Please just let Dak walk for nothing and roll Dalton, then go out and spend that money on an ELITE defense...

Try to justify it anyway you can, but Dak simply does not embody the heart and attitude of a true Dallas Cowboys' QB1 - it's a privilege, and he doesn't have any business in that roll - to bad, he isn't able to look past his covetous desires as necessary to build up the entire TEAM, so he might actually win a SB..

Anyone who actually believes Dak wants a SB has got to have serious issues - he's obviously only concerned with one thing: his money, and grubbing for every single dirty penny he can steal from the team...

Please, Jerry - eliminate the problem NOW. Show all the players that being a Dallas Cowboy means more than worshiping money; instead, guys like Troy knew exactly what it being the DC QB1 is really all about - WINNING...

Give it all to DAK!!!
Who needs a Defense when you have Mr. Dak at QB a.k.a........ The Scoring machine???:muttley:

Dak isn't asking for 40-45 million so that nonsense is another fail on you haters resume.

He is asking for 3-4 years but Dallas wants him for 5-7 years. Seriously you guys are so far off in left field y'all have resorted to making crap up....... like usually
It’s easier to believe nonsense than facts. If they believe facts what do they have to argue?

 we do agree, I just don't think certain posts referring to Romo (doing or got) does anything to justification Daks contract either way.

Im saying its the years that are the contention as the AAV is roughly established, but the contention is how its structured. JJ has created a problem (especially in 2021) because of Deke and Amari's contracts.

All of my posts (and signature) are based on giving Dak the money AND having money (especially next year which is tight).

If the choice actually came down to $40 to 45m, I'd start Dalton and spare the Cap.
But Dak's not going to draw 40-45m, so I'm not worried about that. Dak is going to be the Cowboy's QB.

all QB's these days get stupid money. Fair or not, that's the market value. Dak just threw for almost 5k yards lol..and you wanna replace him? Holy cow.
Why do people keep going with the Jameis Winston argument?

Pretty baffling.

Bus driver QBs with stacked defenses are more likely to win Super Bowls than QBs eating up 13%of the salary cap not being able to feild a good team around him.
It's very simple.
You pay your QB under 13% and build your defense. There's no better way.
There's not much talent gap between Dalton and Dak to justify paying Dak anyway.
It's time to let Dak know that either he signs the current deal on the table or its time to move on.
Dalton is just as likely to win a Super Bowl as Dak would be.

Who are you to know what exactly is going on with the negotiations?
Your speculations are as good as anyone at this point.:espn:
The only fact that is certain is that as of June the 1st 2020 Dak remains unsigned.
