The first misconception you purge is that some "hate" Dak. An easy lofty position to take. WE DONT TRUST DAK IS MORE LIKELY.
I loved DaK his first season over the overrated Romo.
But Dak is the wrong guy.
O, Sumarians ye relentless shapers of fate, give us another Super Bowll!!!!!
Your unique writing skills were actually not to hard to understand on this post, and I agreed with most. You lost me at overrated Romo.

If we are using ancient civilizations, I would consider Romo an Assyrian, you know, the people known as the warrior society.

Here is a thought, how many people were talking poorly of Dak in 2016 ?????
How many " haters" were posting here?? ( haters = anyone who wants another qb or thinks dak isnt good enough,
or thinks he is good but not worth the money he is demanding.)
None I would guess, this all took the last 3 years to develop and then add in the whole longest contract debate ever, and dak wanting
to be top salary at point of signing, and yeah we have some people that are saying dont sign him.

It is NOT like people have been against dak since day 1.
Same thing for elliot back in 16, but this is years later and both have been meh for last 3 years.
They have good stats, but that has not translated to much season wise or in playoffs the last 3 years.

There are valid reasons for people to think dak is not the right guy, especially now that his pay will
go up what 35 times what he was making?

Again my point is this didnt happen overnight, and didnt really start until late into 2017.
Some slid back in 2018, but then after a 8-8 season and the last phil game , the whole
not liking dak started up in earnest, and then this contract thing has made it snowball.
Sorry but my issues with Dak were the same then as they are now and I voiced them. Never hated or hate the kid just not a fan of his overall game in big games.

But that's why Dak was named MVP of the senior bowl because everybody outplayed him including Wentz........Kessler hasn't done crap in the league. Dak and Wentz were the 2 best QBs in the senior bowl and gave proved it with success in the NFL
Kessler didn't come to Dallas and get to play behind the number 1 offensive line in the league. Wentz had to go through rebuilding in Philadelphia, and after the Super Bowl win, he had to do it again.
Dak came to a team that was loaded, and that had the number one running back in the league. He enjoyed a weak schedule, and has yet to produce.
If Dak had gone to Cleveland like Kessler did, he would have been out of the league by the end of the second year.

Rebuilding after the superbowl win with the same team basically Haha

Daks team was so stacked only 3 starting OL and 1 RB is still on the roster from that 2016 team.........0 TEs and 0 WRs are on the roster

Hey, I'm with you on wanting Romo getting his job back. I think with Zeke and that line anything was possible. I do think the defense would have kept us from any chance of winning it all.

It's all moot now, but I will always wonder what might have been. The only reason they gave Tony only one series against the Eagles was because he looked so good. Who ever heard of pulling you back up QB for the 3rd? They did that because they didn't want Tony to light it up and have the media to deal with.
So true.

Embarrassing and gutless that they weren't prepared to let the supposed back up play the rest of the game!

Dak wasn't ready to be the QB in 2016, and I always said as much. Tony should have been given the job back, because he had way more command of the offense and a better ability to throw the ball down the field.

I was called a hater constantly b/c I pointed out how limited his downfield vision was. There are all kinds of threads comparing him to like Tom Brady lol.

That's very hard for me to believe. Dak has proven he can play in this league and he would have shown enough in Cleveland that on a rookie deal there is no way they would have cut him and he would be completely out of the league.

The only reason Dak is in the league is because Dallas drafted him? That is a huge stretch.

Strongly disagree, he would be out of the league and that goes for a lot of guys. Cody Kessler actually played pretty well, and even Kizer showed promise at times, but if you start your career on a team that goes 1-31 then you are going to be part of the house cleaning.
The only thing Dak has shown is that he can stand behind All-Pros and throw to wide open guys. He would have been out of the league long ago anywhere else, but especially Cleveland.

What is amusing is that any Romorooter would have thought he should even compete for the job once he was out and Prescott was in. There were quite a few in the middle where I was thinking he should at least get the chance but that ship had sailed.

Romo was the most polarizing QB for his own fan base of any QB I've ever seen, even causing hissy fights and time outs so loved and hated was he. Interestingly enough, along comes his successor and we're right back where we were, some of us in the middle flanked by a host of Daksters and Dakaters.

See a pattern here? Maybe it's not the QB, maybe it's us. Why in the hell can't both sides be civil toward each other and just argue the points without making it personal? And stop calling posters stupid because they don't agree with your viewpoint, it's childish and illustrates you can't debate. Arguing is not debating, one is a sign of respect and the other isn't.

Talking in text is much harder than say in person, it is much easier to get wrong idea, meaning, or feel insulted etc from text, than it would be
if we were talking in person.

This is true sir. And I've let it get the better of me. You'd think after so many years on various forums I would have taken more caution. But....between the contentious off season and ...welll....."getting to know" some forum members better ...I have been short with several people. I've reigned it in.
