Jourdan Lewis, Chido and a #1 for Adams. Would hate to lose Lewis and the #1 but you gotta sacrifice to get a player like this. Chido is just a sprinkle on top to do the deal. If you can't accept what you are going to have to give up (no one will agree anyways) might as well move on. Adams is worth the #1....hopefully it will be for like the #30-32 pick. LOL

No one is losing sleep over losing Chido IMO but he can start for a team and play. I'd rather see what our new rookies have than worry about him anyways.

Im guessing in the next few weeks Dallas circles back and makes a call to NY.

We already know they were willing to part with a 1st for him. I dont know if they will close the deal, but I wouldn't get too attached to that first round pick if I were you guys

So, no safety in the first round, ever

And it would appear even if you were willing to draft one in the first you would never extend them no matter how good they are

You and I usually see eye to eye but on this one we are way different

Adams is precisely the type of player we need on this defense. He instantly becomes our best defender on a suspect squad when our offense is loaded up for a Super Bowl run

how many years do we wait for the planets to align before we pull the trigger and go all in

To me if I'm committing so much money in quarterback, defensive end and running back.....I have to surround them with talent in the draft. And having a safety for 5 years on a rookie deal is a luxury that I need. And with a upcoming strong safety class allegedly? It might be the best way to handle it.

A SS that rarely gets int's. And he wants a big contract.

it he was a Cowboy last year he would have been second on the team in sacks

Does that count for anything?

INT isn’t the only stat that matters

As a frame of reference, the NFL leader in interceptions last year only had six.

INTs are all that matter. Nothing else ever

Jesus.....that's far too much. What do you see in Adams to trade all of that?

See??

My logic, which I will admit is probably always flawed because I am a pretty big failure in life.

1. The #1 pick if the defense is legit could be in the high 20's or even hopefully 30+ range
2. Lewis - the Cowboys don't really like him anyways
3. Chido has sucked and been a total disappointment.
4. Adding a proven pro-bowler/stud player to the secondary will not make this team worse...

I don’t want the contract drama next summer. . This guy wants to get paid. I’m tired of long offseason contract showdowns. We’ve had them three years in a row.

May as well stop watching NFL then.

Good players get paid, contract drama will never end.

I have to wonder if Adams wants a trade because he knows he’s playing for the worst HC in the NFL.

Jamaal Adams is better than probably every player in next years draft.

He's incredible, and I'd be all for trading for him. No brainer.

However, I think there's a 75% chance no football will be played this year, so what's the point?

I disagree with that number but if there is no football next year then I would assume players do not gain a year (actually really vague on what would happen) so you might still have him for 4 years.
