What godfather offer can pry Adams away from NY?

Wilson and Brees weren’t the “final” pieces on those teams. Im not arguing S is more important than Qb, just stating its rare for a QB to be the final piece to the puzzle.
the QB is the main piece, so teams search for that...its the easiest path to championship....when was the last time a team won a superbowl without a good QB?

IF they don't get Manning, they do not appear in those 2 SB's. Not even close. QB is the one premium position at all levels of FB that matter most. YES they brought in some nice pieces around him, but make no mistake, he was the straw that stirred the drink. HE WAS THAT final piece..it began and ended with him. What happened after he retired? DENVER has been a hot mess. SAFETY, we can agree..doesn't have the same affect ON THE OUTCOMES OF GAMES. Its important, but not worth trading away the farm for a guy that wants top dollar. I rather see how our guys compete in camp.
His last season, 2015, could have been won without him. Did you watch any of the games? He was horrible and didn’t even play almost half the games that season. Osweiler had a better completion % and QBR for cripes sake! They honestly might have been slightly better if that kept Osweiler in that season. I think Peyton was a great QB, I’m not taking anything away from him but he clearly had no arm his last season and the stats prove it. I do think it was awesome the way he went out but he had little to nothing to do with that last SB win.

Agreed on safety.

You misspelled the last word. It’s spelled yes.

2017 - Nick Foles
2012 - Joe Flacco
2002 - Brad Johnson
2000 - Trent Dilfer

You could also make an argument for 2007/2011 Eli Manning

The Jet's proposals were proof positive that they weren't really serious about making a trade. Their supposed attempts to do so were nothing more than scams -- just foolish attempts to convince Adams that they wanted to. Obviously, Adams was intelligent enough not to fall for it. Evidently, he's still doing his best to convince them to trade him but to no avail. The Jets have handled things clumsily from the start.

Our 2021 #1 & Trysten Hill.
If they Jets want more to save face, we throw in our 4th and they also send their 5th back.

Reading comprehension is failing, main and final are two different things. Often teams will have their QB (main piece) and then acquire what end up being the final piece(s) later.

2015 Peyton Manning.

Worst QBR of his career that season by far with a 43.9 and also his worst overall rating of his career, with only his rookie year even close, at a 67.9. Even his Super Bowl rating was a lousy 56.6. Putrid.

great. of the 53 teams winning the superbowl...4 were very average QBs.....Flacco, Dilfer and Johnson played with some great defenses, and Foles just had a hot streak with a great coach, good defense...

how about the other 49 teams?

so which odds do you like better?

follow the thread..... see what I responded to first......do you have ADHD?, typically quick to respond because they are anxious to just ready, shoot, aim

Jamal is not a final piece of the puzzle.....we are not going to the superbowl this year. I would like to have him, but at the right price, not kings' ransom

but one of the smartest players on the field each play. tons of experience. they didn't make it there until he showed up. they havent' come close since. Manning perhaps wasn't manning of the past, but it was still manning the field general.

Definitely one of the smartest but Osweiler had a better QBR and a better rating in 2015. Peyton was more of a liability than an asset that year, I’m quite sure the defense would have carried them to and won the Super Bowl even if Tebow was still their QB.

paying a 1st, 2nd and martin...that was nuts...no player outside of a QB or dominant RDE is worth that....

I hate the idea of giving up 1st, smith, woods and lewis...you just created two more holes on the defense.

he is not the difference between us and a superbowl appearance...the defense has way more holes than Lewis...

I would not pay any more than a 1st and 5th or 4th.....in this day and age of trades....

hate that trade scenario you put on the table.

I agree, that why is more fantasy then reality.

Yet no team has ever been over the cap even once. They can make it work and this is one of the guys from around the league that is worth the risk.

None of those. Gallup is a luxury and will want 15 million at least in two years.

Gallup is the obvious trade piece. Our offense probably wouldn’t miss a beat.

One injury away and we have very little depth at the position.

At minimum, it would take at least 1st and a 2nd, and then you'd have to make him the highest paid safety in the league (and league history) in the next 18 months. I don't think that's a good idea considering the existing contracts for Zeke, Cooper, Jaylan, and probably Dak.

that should tell you the value of QBRs..Osweiler sucked......didn't get crap done.

and you lost all credibility when you said Tebow....it just shows you want to argue to win your point and don't care about reality.
