Listen, I’ve done every drug known to man in college, most more than once. I smoked weed on a daily basis. I got in fights, I’ve been arrested. I also knew that when I figured out what I wanted to do for the rest of my life that I needed to change.I don't think Zeke has done anything to say he needed another chance. He's immature. Most early 20's people are. Not shocked. He's done nothing bad other than be immature at times.
People act like I think I’m on some “high horse” for criticizing zeke for things he’s done, like I am or was, above that. Not even close to true. I criticize him for being an absolute idiot and not thinking of consequences not only to himself (which I couldn’t care less about) but to this team which I care very much about. Jerry was dumb enough to give him a big contract but even before that he had his entire NFL future in front of him and risked it all for what? Because a security guard or a DJ said something he didn’t like? Because some girl was pulling up her top and he thought she needed more help and it would be cool or funny?
I don’t buy the “he’s just a kid”. He’s past that, he’s a grown azz man and it’s about time he starts acting like it but as long as the fans, and more importantly Jerrah, keep blowing it off and acting like it’s no big deal then he’ll continue doing it. He’s been spoiled and entitled his entire life and going into season 5 of his NFL career he’s shown ZERO improvement in maturity. It’s almost as if his stats and maturity level are in sync with each other, they both go down every year.
Hitting someone isn’t immature, it’s assault and he’s very lucky the league didn’t get involved with the DJ Train incident. The security guard wasn’t a big deal but it showed a lack of self control, maturity and lack of understanding of what the suspension meant. Just that little bump got him a call to the principles office, imagine if they found out he broke a dudes nose and knocked him unconscious.
He just doesn’t get it and that’s what’s concerning.
