I don't think Zeke has done anything to say he needed another chance. He's immature. Most early 20's people are. Not shocked. He's done nothing bad other than be immature at times.
Listen, I’ve done every drug known to man in college, most more than once. I smoked weed on a daily basis. I got in fights, I’ve been arrested. I also knew that when I figured out what I wanted to do for the rest of my life that I needed to change.

People act like I think I’m on some “high horse” for criticizing zeke for things he’s done, like I am or was, above that. Not even close to true. I criticize him for being an absolute idiot and not thinking of consequences not only to himself (which I couldn’t care less about) but to this team which I care very much about. Jerry was dumb enough to give him a big contract but even before that he had his entire NFL future in front of him and risked it all for what? Because a security guard or a DJ said something he didn’t like? Because some girl was pulling up her top and he thought she needed more help and it would be cool or funny?

I don’t buy the “he’s just a kid”. He’s past that, he’s a grown azz man and it’s about time he starts acting like it but as long as the fans, and more importantly Jerrah, keep blowing it off and acting like it’s no big deal then he’ll continue doing it. He’s been spoiled and entitled his entire life and going into season 5 of his NFL career he’s shown ZERO improvement in maturity. It’s almost as if his stats and maturity level are in sync with each other, they both go down every year.

Hitting someone isn’t immature, it’s assault and he’s very lucky the league didn’t get involved with the DJ Train incident. The security guard wasn’t a big deal but it showed a lack of self control, maturity and lack of understanding of what the suspension meant. Just that little bump got him a call to the principles office, imagine if they found out he broke a dudes nose and knocked him unconscious.

He just doesn’t get it and that’s what’s concerning.

Ok I'm referencing what he did for the Cowboys. Anything he did prior I could care less he wasn't here for that.
Drugs? Nothing proven but you said drug problems which he had in college and I’m sure the Cowboys were well aware of that when they drafted him, it was pretty well known. Even Bosa moved out of his room because zeke got too out of hand with the drugs and partying.

Ohhh. Ok I get it. So you don't mind domestic abusers or murderers on your team just as long as they aren't expensive?

I just don't respect your stance. Sorry.

You're entitled to it. No doubt.

But its funny you like Aldon because it makes for a great comeback story even though he just pulled for driving under the influence in 2019 and has a long history of abusing alcohol as well as risking the lives of himself and others...but you are hung up on Zeke punching a DJ.

Ain't no straw man arguments being made here. No arguments being made just getting lost understanding your logic.

Again Strawman. Where did I say I support abusers and murderers? Where did I say I like Aldon Smith? I don’t know the guy. He never played for Dallas. I like the value of the pick up and think he could help but I wouldn’t let him babysit for me. I also said America loves a comeback. That was somewhat metaphorical but also true. Zeke we know because he has been here for a while. Controversy follows the guy. It’s all true but you keeping spinning as much as you like. I really don’t care what you think.

But how are his actions hurting this team? He's only been suspended once for something that happened in college.

And if hitting someone isn't immature what is it? You need to keep your hands to yourself.

Look at all the old geezers in here furious about someone smoking weed lmao. Yet there is an alcohol thread on this site and people show off all their liquid poisons and no one bats an eye and a huge circle jerk.

FYI, it's 2020. Normal people don't care about weed anymore and it's becoming legal in many aspects, including the NFL.

But when these people get a chance to pounce on a young athlete and call him a punk and worthless, they never let that chance slip by, Hilarious,

I told you, hitting someone is assault. If you want to categorize that as immature then go ahead but I think you’re greatly minimizing it by calling it that.

His actions aren’t currently hurting the team, other than a possible distraction, but it’s the potential. Let me ask you this. Had the NFL actually investigated the night club incident and found zeke to be guilty of assaulting the dj and he was suspended for a year, what would you say then?

You don’t read to well, do you? There is hardly anyone in here complaining of zeke smoking weed. Go back to the beginning, read, comprehend and try again.

I guarantee I donate a higher percent of my yearly income to charity. 40K to him is like me dropping a dollar in the bucket, big deal.

Off the field, are you telling me he’s been good for the team? Please say yes.

No, I don’t care about womens tops off if they don’t mind and I don’t care about weed but what part of this don’t you understand? This moron has been suspended for 6 games for DOMESTIC VIOLENCE (right or wrong) and exposed the woman’s breasts in public. Do I really need to tell you how that is a bad look for any NFL athlete, let alone a guy who was being investigated for DOMESTIC VIOLENCE at the time? Really, do you really not see the issue there?

Same goes for the two DJ incidents and the security guard incident. Do I hav to explain 3 more times how being involved with ANY type of physical altercation, whether it’s knocking someone out or bumping into them purposely, isn’t smart AFTER being SUSPENDED FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE?

Do I have to explain to you how dumb it is for a player with his history to announce to the world that he’s high? Do you post videos of yourself on FB, or wherever, when you are plastered and where you know your boss will hear and see it? Is that smart?

Calling me childish while supporting zeke’s 10 year old behavior is quite hypocritical but I don’t play for the Cowboys so I don’t get that free pass, do I?
I don't know what the root of your hatred comes from.

Times are just changing and it's not easy.

I just think you have a reason about why you think Zeke is such a negative factor.

I have not heard one player on the team..

current or past that has ever said anything towards him.

Just his accuser.

These other situations have produced nothing.

Yet you want us to agree with your view.

I just do not see it.

And yes..calling somebody an ewok is taken out of a kids movie, Star Wars.

Its meant as a slur. Help me out if I got that wrong. I stopped following that when I grew up.

He’s an idiot but nothing will happen to him. He will pass his drug test they tell the players about and he will be good for another year.
Well that's obviously in the hands of the Mara family.

This guy is such an ***, and not even elite any longer on the field.

I was crushed when I saw recently that he is definitely going to be here a year longer than I was hoping for.

Then again, let him keep flirting with this kind of stuff, because another suspension is the only thing that makes his salary for 2021 and 22 not guaranteed.

No I wouldn't but I've never seen anyone suspended for punching someone. There was plenty of proof to do it. If he did get suspended for that then yes I would agree with you.

Let me ask you, say you have a neighbor that drives recklessly down the street on a regular basis, does it bother you even if they don’t cause a wreck or worse?

EXACTLY! and they WON A SUPER BOWL with him! That’s the whole point, look at the past 20 RB’s to win SB’s, only one was the league leading rusher. Teams win SB’s all the time with average, maybe even below average, running backs. We don’t need zeke to win games, especially with this offensive line.

But you’re right, forget about what works, let’s just look at numbers which clearly don’t win championships as even you pointed out.

Talent wins and Zeke brings that to the table. I'm not looking to imitate some other team and Dallas did not try to be someone else when they won 3 SB with Smith. He was the rushing leader who played a big part in winning SB. I'm sure you can do that with almost all position

If I was threatened by his behavior, of course.

If not, then I would ignore it.

People have the right to pursue their freedoms up until others actually suffer a problem that is tangible.

That is why the police will respond if you have a problem with the guy. But they will not arrest him just becuz you think the guy is unsafe. He has to be guilty of breaking a law or ordnance.

Drunk would be one. No license another.

These other incidences Zeke was not arrested.

So you can not arrest him without probable cause.

So what is your lynch pin condition?

That he might hit your car in your driveway?

That would be within your right.

But it has to actually happen first.

You’ve never seen someone suspended for hitting someone but what if the DJ pressed assault charges or what if Goodell did suspend him because he was already suspended for a violence related issue? Rhetorical question, point being, he very easily could have been suspended.

So if you would agree with me that if he was suspended then his actions would have hurt the team, then why wouldn’t you be upset or not say he’s an idiot if he’s constantly doing things that could cause another suspension?

If you had a kid who was running around hitting people at school, are you going to not be upset and blow it off until he gets caught and is suspended from school?

If he would've been suspended I would've been pissed. No doubt. He's only a idiot once he gets suspended lol. I can't call him that before he gets suspended though. Well I could I guess.........
