only one that counts SB 1, RS Mvp & MVP...that it..didt pat miss 2 games as well? is that RS or all playoffs and SB?
Well...by posting this I don't think anyone compared him to Mahomes or even said he was better. Mahomes is the best quarterback in the league and has had a great career already in just 2 years.

I don't know about the air yards on those completions specifically but Dak was 2nd in the league in Air Yards.

In regards to Dak not being in the league of Rodgers and Brady...that's one thing. Mahomes as well. Even Wilson. But Lamar is only a 2 year pro with one MVP season under his belt and no playoff wins. Watson...one of my favorite players in the league but the hype for him as well is mind boggling.
Good points rocyaice.
If you put me a in a tough position, i do not take Dak over the guys I mentioned. Watson when healthy is a dynamic talent and that is how i see it.
Dak is in the next group of guys, Ryan, Stafford, Wentz,Dak,Goff,Cousins, Cam, Jimmy, Carr, Tannehill.
I would much rather have Dak than Tannehill and he got paid so I think its inevitable that he will get a huge contract, just not 40 million.
I wish teams didn't just pay their QB without exploring other options. I really think the Cowboys should have had a fork in the road decision and gone after Cam or Winston. I would pay them half of what we will pay Dak and have a solution for the next 5-8 years if healthy in Cam's case or even longer in Winstons case.
It is not a bad idea to zig a little when the only option is keep paying bigger and bigger deals to QB's. If you are truly elite, give them a huge deal.
I think the teams that paid Wentz, Goff, Jimmy, Cousins, even Stafford, Ryan, Tannehill have some buyers remorse or will very soon.
Mahomes @ 40 a year is a bargain. That guys will win multiple games that only he can win.

"How to Lie with Statistics" . Though written by Darrell Huff in 1954, it is a must read for all the die-hard Dak haters/lovers... Actually, a fun read and reinforces the notion of "lies, da** lies and statistics".

Every time this forum gets into a lengthy discussion of Dak-tistics, I am reminded of the quote by Archimedes... "Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world".

Only, in this case I would suggest the following modification, "Give me a collection of data large enough, and I can prove anything"... by ColoCowboy

A few things.....

To me all of these guys are of the same caliber. Lamar, Watson, Dak, Wentz, etc.

First Tier is Wilson, Mahomes
2nd Tier Brady, Wentz, Dak, Lamar, Watson, etc.
3 Tier is Mayfield, Kyler, Darnold
4th tier would the Case Keenum's and the Ryan Fitzpatricks.

So I think it can go either way when you are discussing the same tier quarterbacks.

And I get it. In a perfect world you can get Cam for 5 million. But is being cheaper at quarterback and having a inferior player there worth it? Especially when we don't know Dak's ceiling? And that's what it comes down to. Whatever your stance on Dak's ceiling is.....

Am I wrong in thinking that if the receiver gets most of the yards after the catch, the yards shouldn't be credited to the QB?.....Like I said, "If" that's the case.

It depends. If the route is designed to get YAC, and the QB hits him in stride. Both have done their parts. Specifically the QB for being on target.
Jerry Rice made most of his yards that way. So should he get the credit or Joe or Steve.

How many yards was the Moose credited with for blocking for Emmitt?

Wait. I get an autographed bowtie? Damn I didn't know that. Now we're talking............

Ask yourself this though.....how come you only pop up in Dak threads? Are you like policing the site? Are you like a unofficial moderator to make sure the Dak threads don't gain any steam?
Ask yourself, troll... why was my thread banished off the front page? Maybe your low effort tweet and run post was viewed to be exactly as it was... a redundant steaming pile that doesn’t create discussion. Do better... and stop trolling... and maybe you’ll get that bow tie.

Sorry I disagree with your tiers. you cannot put Lamar & Watson in the same tier as Dak and Wentz.
Lamar is a league MVP, and Watson is just better. I am sorry I just dont see that
To me Cam or Winston are not inferior to Dak, especially Cam. If I could have had Cam for 1 year 15 million or even Winston on a 2 year deal.

I did mention the difference in hitting the receiver in stride vs. the receiver stopping, catching the ball, then making people miss.

While I give Moose a lot of credit for Emmitt's yardage, it apples and oranges. Using the fullback as a blocker is just another way to run block. Had Moose carried the ball 5 or 10 yards, then handed it to Emmitt, that would be a little closer to being relevant. :p

I'm sure a clown like you probably reported and cried to the mods to get it taken off. Wouldn't be the first time. Like I told you yesterday....I can't fathom someone like you being a parent or an adult. You have to be a child.

Well Tom Brady was a league MVP as well as Cam. So does that make them first tier? Russell Wilson has never been a MVP yet he's 1st tier. And your argument for Watson is kind of crazy....he doesn't have a league MVP he's just...."better" even though he had 26 touchdowns last season?

Nah, that's your move... you guys are always crying to the mods like little girls. This thread was just plain trash and taken out to the dumpster out back.

We can agree to disagree that is the beauty of this forum.
If you redraft all of these QB's by NFL GM's right now Dak is not over Lamar or Watson. To me its not even close.
The celing and floor for both of these players is much higher than Dak.

Nope, but it destroys the ridiculous notion that he is a bus-driver and gives more credence to the idea that he is one of the top young QBs in the league, and someone that can lead our team to the SB.

And that's fine. I mean NFL GM's drafted Jamarcus Russel #1 lol. If I'm starting a team tomorrow I'm not starting it with Lamar Jackson. Nothing against him but I'm not going to bog down my offense for his special skillset. And like I said Watson is debatable. All of these guys are. Its Mahomes and Russell in that first tier. They've done it. Granted, Mahomes has also only been in the league a few years....I Give him the nod because he's a Super Bowl winner and MVP. He's not 0-2 like Lamar who's had a very good defense backing him.
