Why in the hell would posting this rile up a Cowboy fan? IT will probably rile up a moron or a Eagles fan which is equivalent to the same thing. How in the hell would this rile up an actual Cowboy fan? Address it.
Sure right after you address playing dumb that posting a tweet about a random Dak stat ever leads to any productive discussion. You didn't make any observation whatsoever to lead the discussion in an intelligent manner. You posted a tweet and ran. The only thing you didn't do is use the popcorn emoji like some of the other trolls here.

There are dozens of other players on the team, and none of them ever get random stat tweets dropped on to the forum... and certainly not by you. If you don't want to be called a troll, try posting something thought provoking and maybe lead the discussion with a couple of thoughts on why you think something is noteworthy. It's not like you are the only troll on here but I don't know why some of you try to play dumb.

I honestly don't know how this is a relevant stat, when Cooper or Gallup stops, catches a 10 or 15 yard pass, then turns upfield making people miss. If this stat only counts the passes thrown that far, or even the ones that hit the receiver in stride, that's a different story.
According to https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2019/passing_advanced.htm....

Dak was second in the league in Air Yards. Behind only Jameis Winston.

Either way, the detractors are gathering to invent a way to dispute any thing good. :muttley:

He's come a long way from "dink and Dak" huh?

The funny thing is stats also lie. Please pull the air yards for all of those completions.
I agree Dak has really improved his deep ball, but how many times have you seen him throw an in route or slant that Cooper break for much bigger yardage.
Dak is no slouch but he is not in the same league as Mahomes, Wilson, Watson, Lamar, Rodgers, Brady.

I'm not playing dumb I do not think this would rile up a Cowboy fan. If it riles up someone like you then so be it I could care less. I don't think about posters like you or your ilk when I post. You calling someone a troll is equivalent to a mass murderer calling a serial killer a menace to society.

I don't know about the air yards on those completions specifically but Dak was 2nd in the league in Air Yards.

In regards to Dak not being in the league of Rodgers and Brady...that's one thing. Mahomes as well. Even Wilson. But Lamar is only a 2 year pro with one MVP season under his belt and no playoff wins. Watson...one of my favorite players in the league but the hype for him as well is mind boggling.

Am I wrong in thinking that if the receiver gets most of the yards after the catch, the yards shouldn't be credited to the QB?.....Like I said, "If" that's the case.

Like I said you're a clueless troll but you're one of many. The next time you have an original thought will definitely be the first time. So you will continue to post random tweets and let others think for you, and then fill up the rest of the thread with your horribly written counterattacks on a statement that isn't even yours. Here's hoping you hit ten pages of stupidity so you can earn your autographed bowtie, or whatever it is you agents get for spamming the site.

"Oh, so now you're saying Dak is better than Mahomes!?" - a logically-challenged zoner
No, I don’t think that is what he was saying. My bet he was referring to the frequent suggestion that Dak is only a “dink and dunk” QB.

I personally don’t see him as a dink and dunk guy, but don’t necessarily think of him as being one of the better QBs on downfield throws either.

You're not wrong on that. But what quarterback doesn't benefit from that? Most top receivers rack up YAC.......Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara are both in the top 10 in YAC.

Gallup is 39th in yards after catch and Cooper is even lower than that.

I get what you're saying but being a 2nd year pro and winning the MVP is something very few can say they have done. Mahomes did that too recently but it's not the norm.
As a passer, Dak is better IMO. But as an overall threat, Lamar is maybe a step ahead due to his legs. We'll see how that'll last.

I agree, all QBs benefit from that, which is why I don't think it would be relevant to the QB's stats.

Wait. I get an autographed bowtie? Damn I didn't know that. Now we're talking............

Ask yourself this though.....how come you only pop up in Dak threads? Are you like policing the site? Are you like a unofficial moderator to make sure the Dak threads don't gain any steam?

I'm not taking anything away from Lamar. If this is how he's going to play year in and out...he's going to be the best quarterback in the league. If not the best the 2nd best. But if he plays like he did his 1st year....I'd hardly consider that to be one of the best quarterbacks in the league personally.

I guess its to show who throws deep balls the most. It doesn't really represent who's successful doing it. But it does show who's airing it out.
I have to assume they don't count throw-aways.
