And he moves on to another team are we going to have threads essentially blaming the "haters and trolls" and will the Dak supporters have open arms and support for the next guy? As ridiculous as these questions are I have to wonder based on what I've seen.

My prediction is that Dak would quickly be forgotten, and that the “next guy” would actually be compared to Romo, and there would still be strangely dozens of Romo threads littering the forum. Because Dak slobberering was never about Dak.

When Dak moves on a lot of these Dak-Trolls will disappear and probably follow Dak to his new team's forum.
I mean let's call it as it is they simply only care for Dak and want him to get the biggest Cap killing contract in the known universe!
Cowboy fans ya right????

If no extension is accomplished, then in 2021 Dallas should sign Dak to the non-franchise tag, trade him for draft picks, and draft North Dakota State QB Trey Lance (a dual threat QB who is 6' 3" 225 pounds):

2019

192 completions 287 attempts 66.9 % comp % 28 TD's 0 Int's

169 rushes 1,100 yards 14 TD's

I'll be laughing for the next many years it will take Jerry and you Daktractors failed attempts after more failed attempts to find another QB who can put up numbers like Dak has.

I'll be on my recliner drinking an ice cold michelada knowing I was right while saying, "You wanted to get greedy? You didn't appreciate what you had? Well, now it's time to reap what you've sown."

If the next QB is good. I will embrace them with open arms and root for them. Because as a cowboys fan, that’s what I like. Good players.

which is why I like Dak because he is a very good QB.

If the next QB isn’t good, I’ll want to replace them with one who is. While rooting for that QB to turn things around and start playing well every time they’re on the field. Or for the team to win, despite their poor play if they aren’t good but are still starting.

I understand supporting him if he's good. But I probably should've said, will people accept him before he's even set foot on the field (let's say we draft a 1st round qb) and will they give him a chance to believe in him?

so it's Jerry and our fault? Whatever happened to supporting your team and wishing for the best?

how bad or good are we talking? I'm told 8-8 isn't the QBs fault, but when we go 13-3 it was Dak. So if we finish 8-8 or better you want to keep Dak vs 7-9 and worse let him go? I feel like the record shouldn't matter, no?

How many times has Jerry and Company got it right and actually drafted a bonafied very good QB with a high expensive pick? ANSWER: only Troy Aikman.

Yet, you want me to be a good soldier and gleefully cheer to one's delight for the decisions this company makes when being tasked to draft a good QB?

Pfft...time to wake up and smell the roses, Sunshine. Appreciate what you've got, reward it for its hard word, and make sure to keep it while just entering its prime with the ceiling only going higher....instead of being dumb and greedy with the most important position on the team.

I'd say winning the NFC east keeps him as QB. Making the playoffs as an 8-8 or even 7-9 team does as well. If no playoffs, he gone.

I like how people pretend like the love affair of Dak is about anything more than him being our quarterback. He's our quarterback so we root for him. Next guy comes in....we root for him. We aren't like those Romosexuals who hate Dak because he took his spot in 2016.
way to generalize both the Dak and Romo group in one sentence...

I appreciate how Jerry and co have done right lately and seem to understand you need a solid team all around to be consistent. Not sure why anyone would be opposed to improving any position on the team they root for.
