Those stats are good and all. But you left out his most important stat. Negative runs that kill drives. o_O
Kind of hard to get positive yards when he’s getting mauled by half the defense behind the line of scrimmage and had one of the shortest amounts of time from being handed the ball to contact by a defender which makes his yards that much more impressive

And actually, if you look at the article I posted about short yardage situations, zeke is one of the worst when it comes to game winning drives.

Again, "hasn't accomplished anything".

But if you want to go that route we can translate it to Zeke. One good season(rookie season) followed by one bad season, and two blah seasons. Only difference is Zeke's wasn't due to injury.

If you want to write off Barkley after one injury riddled season, after putting up a season that Zeke never hit and never will hit then go ahead. I'm not going to make that mistake. 2028 yards, 15 TDs, no fumbles with great efficiency behind a bad OL.
Zeke gets 1k yards every season...what do you mean 2 blah seasons?

I don't rank Zeke 11th. That's too low. But he's just not that guy from his rookie year, and I doubt he will ever be that guy again.

Morris had significantly better ypc in 2017, Pollard in 2019.
Rod Smith was the only other back with significant carries in 2018, and he was a special teamer who couldn't merit a single carry with TEN or OAK last year.

I'm not pretending that Morris or Pollard are better than Zeke. Their ypc is not an apples to apples comparison, because surely teams didn't try to defend against them as they defended against Zeke. But Zeke's production can be replaced. With an NFL offseason of training, Pollard will probably look a lot more competitive with Zeke as a RB. He's ok now, and could be a legitimate quality starter with a little more power and explosion.

Zeke just isn't that special anymore, and certainly not at the price. I'd say his contract is already bad value, and that's unlikely to improve as he gets older.
I disagree. You are gauging how special is because he doesn't have break away runs. Find me a better pass blocker than him in the league....and I'm sure some will say that doesn't matter but its a great luxury to have.

Lol 1k yards does not make a season good at all, especially considering the volume he receives.

You just called Barkeys season bad and he hit 1k rushing. Something ain't adding up

130 Yards is a good average but when your quarterback is struggling I expect more production.......Zeke can get 130 yards with Dak throwing for 300.

And what does Mahomes have to do with anything? You asked me would they have won with Dak.....I told you if they would've had Dolphins Dak they would've....it didn't require you to throw Mahomes under the bus or even defend Dak.

He can, but how often? And in big games Zeke is typically nowhere to be found.

Niners running game was top shelf throughout the playoffs in EVERY game. In some games, it was completely unstoppable and dominated. To say that Zeke would do the same on his own is nothing more then an unsupported guess.

Your claim that had the Niners had ZEke they would have won the SB is laughable. I showed without question that not only did they not need Zeke, but their RB by committee did much better than Zeke.

Its because I actually watched Barkley last year.....and if you have 100 yards in a game but 70 of them came on one carry would you consider that still a good game? He had a few of those games last year.

I don't think Barkley is bad I just assumed he was hurt last year.

McCaffery is a bit like Marshall Faulk and Thurman Thomas
5’11/5’10’. 210/205 range
Strong, fast, shifty and versatile
But not physically a monster
We’ll see if he can be productive for 8-10 years. Thats tough.

His production after 3 years is ahead of Zeke’s, btw

If he had Kyle Shanahan as coach he would've had a better year than he did last year. Can't use Garrett as the excuse for why Dak sucks but not the same for when Zeke struggles.

Zeke is far better than anyone the 49ers has and its not even any comparison. I don't care what their YPC is.

So since 2016 everyone I last then because no running back in that same span was #1 for more than one season. And Zeke should've been #1 in 2017 but we know the deal there.
I'm just talking about the perceived perception of many here and how they argue.

Personally, I think Zeke is a wonderful RB that might be a bit overpaid, but he brings so much value to the offense, he might not be overpaid.
Do I think he's the best? I don't care. I'm glad he's on this team.

Zeke was sub par last year and it had a lot to do with his hold out,i expect huge numbers for him this season because teams will now want to stop our passing attack first .

I would love to see a ton of draws and play-actions every game.

If you ain't 1st, you last.
Well, that’s been the excuse against the other RB’s for not being as good as zeke when he won the rushing titles so it should go both ways.

I disagree, but let's not stop the madness! Let the sluice flow.

Agree on all of the above. He's the best for what this team needs........
