They already have the division locked up.
Oh really? Instead of 1 game whenever, we get him 2X a year if he goes to Philthy.Im fine with that.. Doesn’t make a huge shift one way or the other.
At this point the Eagles go as far as their offense takes them. I don't see Clowney or Adams putting them over the top. You're crazy if you truly believe that Sir.
If the Eagles do acquire Adams, we just need to hope like heck they overpay for him.
The problem is, none of those receivers are CeeDee Lamb. The Eagles don't have a #1 receiver, at least one that can stay on the field. The receiver with the most yards last season was your TE, Zach Erst. Your oldest player on the team is DeSean Jackson. As far as your new veteran additions, they are all former lower round picks, marginal performers. Quantity over quality. I'm not saying this as a Cowboy fan bagging on an Eagles fan.Did you know we traded for a WR and drafted 3 more this year? Plus we have both starters from last year returning, Desean and Alshon, AND last year’s second round pick. 0% chance it’s a wideout.
Warford makes sense, I can’t imagine Clowney would turn down money elsewhere, and Jamal Adams... idk. We do still have 25m$ so anything could happen.
I doubt CeeDee Lamb was on their board ahead of Ruggs and Reagor. Was he higher on other team’s boards? Sure...different teams are targeting different things. But Howie was speed obsessed in this draft. He’s been without it due to injuries for a couple years now. I don’t think Howie feels he missed out on Lamb. Some Eagles fans may feel that way, but that happens literally every draft when their team doesn’t draft who they think is best.
When Howie mentioned the price was too high to move up, he was referring to Ruggs.

Thats my prediction. They'll probably get Clowney on a 1-year deal for 3 mil.
LOL.
Reagor was higher on their board than Lamb?
I think it's Clowney for them.
Or Griffin. They are very bullish on the importance of the DL. They are loaded at DT and if you add Clowney or Griffin, to pair with Graham and Barnett, they are loaded at DE as well.
It still pisses me off that we have zero interest in Griffin. Putting your eggs in Smith/Gregory/Crawford (LOL) at RDE is really risky.
My guess is Clowney.
All of his critics here are about to get a 2-game exposure to just what kind of impactful player Clowney is.
Sounds like some disappointed Eagles fans are willing to try to convince themselves of anything.
There's going to come a day where GM's and scouts are going to realize that "speed" is just that. Speed. It doesn't give you more wins and it doesn't mean they are the best players. Hell look at our secondary last year. Full of speed. Didn't mean a thing. Raiders have proven that time and time again.Or just applying logic. Wouldn't you agree that a deep speed threat is what they have been lacking? Howie got Jackson a year ago and saw in the first game what a deep threat could do. Then he lost him for the year. He went into this draft wanting to get his next Jackson. Ruggs was option #1, but that wasn't happening.
If you look at the WRs they took later in the draft you'll see the same speed factor - and also in the guy they acquired via trade from SF (Goodwin). Howie was absolutely speed obsessed.
It is hardly a stretch to say he didn't target Lamb. That wouldn't mean he didn't think he was a damn fine WR...but he had other ideas.
Some people apparently just look at the pre-draft rankings per position group, on various sites, and think every NFL GM has them ranked the same way. Cowboys fans can rest their head on their pillow at night and tell themselves that their team got Howie's guy. That's fine...I just don't agree.
