Are you responsible for everything good or bad thing your friends or family have said about you?

No, but I’m pretty sure what all my friends say publicly regarding my own situation is pretty close to how I feel..

Some interesting points about the Dak Contract Situation from Bob Sturm in his latest column. To paraphrase –

1 – He firmly believes the contract gets done months ago if the pandemic hadn’t happened. France’s strategy is partly about pressuring the team with the player held out of the offseason workouts and meetings. No offseason contact, no pressure on the team.

This seems a bit far-fetched. When it's all said and done, someone has to line up at QB. This would almost assume that Dallas' front office has no idea how to negotiate without ideal terms. Who believes that?

The QB market is way over-inflated in terms of price as it is. The NBA is even more ridiculous, but at least NFL viewership has a high. The NBA has been losing viewership this last season to a LARGE degree, way before Corona. Nobody was watching.
But somehow their contracts for the most part are guaranteed.

You just like the Owners system of control... it's your flavor of Sports.

No, owners have shifted the burden of the costs of their billion dollar stadiums on tax payers and don’t share in the revenue. I could care less about the athletes and owners nowadays. NBA players getting that much money is a joke. It’s all the accounting rules that favor the rich that let things work like that.

What I’m speaking about is economic reality.

You think people are going to continue to pay hundreds of dollars to see a football game now, like they were doing?
I remember hearing that earlier from another poster, that the NBA's ratings are plummeting.

I blame at least part of that on the game becoming nothing but a huge 3 point shooting contest. Boring.

Explains why you are not a Professional QB in the NFL making $31.4M

It is called intangibles.... Ability to bring different opinions together for one cause.

I am not shocked Dak stole Romo's locker room.

Great leaders don't just hang with friends whom agree mostly with them.....

The owners have something to say about about how much they pay their employees? No way.

It completely bamfoozled me when Dak hired France in the first place. Only greedy selfish types hire agents such as France, which still doesn't all make sense to me.

Maybe Dak is naive in this sense and didn't fully realize the ramifications of hiring such a dirtbag?

tank and amari are represented by France

A significant factor is Golden State. Contrary to popular belief, Steph Curry and Klay have been carrying the viewership since Miami last won with Lebron. When Lebron last bolted from Miami, the NBA viewership was its lowest in five years. Even with GS last, the signs were apparent with the move. Plus GS now has the expensive stadium and their loyal fans have been priced out of the stadium. If anything, it’s becoming abundantly clear how disillusioned people are becoming with the wealthy,

There are dozens of good agents out there and Dak hired France. Everybody knows what France is all about. Dak knew exactly what he was doing. I don't know if that means he's greedy or not but it does mean he hired an agent known for playing extreme hardball to negotiate with an owner who has professed his love for Dak and is known for being generous to get the deal done with players he likes.
Billionaires are the definition of greed.

How many friends did Dak have when he wasn’t QB of the Cowboys and he was getting jumped in college? Or when he got his DUI, how many of his boys showed up in court?

Amari took less. Tank got his deal done. So your assessment is... off.
Amari took less? According to whom?

Tank had to step in. France was holding them hostage. Your assessment is wrong.

I love basketball. Almost as much as football.

But yes, today’s style of game is not enjoyable to watch on the regular. I do think the intensity and physically still picks up in the playoffs though. Normally.

ehhh. The league is as popular as its ever been, and as Silver is quoted in the article, they’re way up in practically every other metric. TV is just a dying dinosaur in general.

According to a number of easily searchable sources including Ron Rivera offering up that they offered him a better deal w/ more money. And Tank stepping in (along with Amari taking less) cuts your argument off at the legs. It’s ok though, apparently you didn’t know. Glad to help

And Amari was a true UDFA with more leverage because he could leave. And DLaw did play one year on the Tag like Dak will this year.
