Where do you get that his play is nowhere near where it use to be?

That is the prevailing attitude around the league from what I read. Buyer beware - not the same player and with a lot of drama baggage.

The Ravens would not give up on him and possibly flush $15M down the toilet if he were still good.

Do you have any source for this prevailing attitude?

I'm more bothered by him missing all those meetings. Fighting happens all the time in football. This is a passionate game. Missing meetings....that's more about commitment to your team.

I agree. These things would need to be discussed with him before making a decision to sign him.

But if we can get him to be his optimal self/on his best behavior for one season, I think a deal would be worth it.

Take this for what it's worth, but it doesn't look like Dallas is that eager to get ET:

Half agreed....but if you're telling me that Dix is stinking up the joint that's a problem.

I disagree, the players pushed for it, they went for locker room over talent

Despite the black hole that safety is for the Cowboys, I’d be cautious bringing in a player that Pete Carroll and John Harbaugh have given up on in the last 1.5 years.

Earl has some serious baggage.
Bring em in and cut him if it goes bad. No big deal.
