This is just more fuel for Dak haters. All year long, they'll say he had a talented roster if he succeeds, and if he fails they'll use that against him as well.

Fact is.... this roster is not THAT talented. We have no DTs.... Trysten Hill is first team on our current depth chart , LBs had a terrible year last year and looked embarrassing in games like the Bears and Vikings, secondary........ meh Awuzie and Brown, and Lewis is mediocre despite what some outlier dudes here say. DE looks strong, but we'll have to see with new players. Zeke like Dak played only half a year last year, and I personally think he's declining and pretty soon we're gonna move on from him, but I hope I'm wrong. OL looks strong, but a lot depends on McGovern and Biadasz.

Only position that I'm fully confident in is QB, WR, and PK.

As a rookie, Ezekiel Elliott was on a team that finished 13-3 and with the best record in the NFC. As he enters his fifth season, he believes the 2020 Cowboys are the most talented team he has been on. “Just look at the depth chart, look at the roster, look at how many Pro Bowlers, how many All-Pro guys we have out there,” Elliott said. “And I mean I think it’s the best.”

QB is way off who made names out of Laurent Robinson, Terrance Williams, and Miles Austin and even Dez Bryant. ****. I was one of the first to call our wr group out, and behold Dak was nothing before Amari came.

There is no song and dance anymore, it is just all noise....oh, wait..you weren't talking music. were you? :lmao2:
But it is a different song and dance. This time it has a rhythm and a tune you can follow. A beat to strut their stuff all the way to the SB.

Yeah But this year I believe it...well, mostly believe it , overall depth in a few areas still bothers be, as well as S the biggest concern. Otherwise, they are pretty talented.
However, I am looking forward to see how this defense does with the more than welcome changes.

Cmon………..this team is more talented overall. Oline and secondary isn't better, but everything else is.

Pass catchers are way better. RB is better with Zeke AND Pollard. Dak is in year #5 as compared to year #1. Huge difference. Defense is better, pass rush is better, front 7 better. And the biggest difference is the coaching staff is waaaaay better.

2016 team had an easy schedule. Both very talented teams, but as of now, this one is better.

Yeah, this team is easily better than the 2016, talent-wise. That won’t necessarily translate into more wins (though it could). Ditto all the things that you said - they have better coaching, Dak and Zeke are more mature players, and this is the best defensive line on paper since the 90’s.

We hear this every year and the team constantly underperforms.

Hopefully MM can get this team over the hump
True.

Regardless of what people say we have had good teams over the last four seasons without being decimated by injuries like other teams or we have been in previous seasons. Yet we have only won a single play off game during that period. Embarrassing given there have only been two teams in the division over the past four years. E.g. we had a 11-5/12-4 quality roster last season yet finished 8-8!

The roster does look strong looking ahead to next season and the Eagles have already been hit by injuries.

New coaching unit as well. It looks promising but we still lack quality in a few key positions imo.

I agree. This is a good team on paper. Now win please.
