how can losing your starting tight end in week 1 be easily resolved?

Using but was bad English by me, I should have used and to make sentence more accurate. They do not have a TE and TEs are sort of important when the OLine is being a problem (also when it is not).

No, the biggest mistake was going for it at all, followed by the 3rd down choice!

I do not like the call, but had Lamb run the route correctly, they convert that and the Cowboys are probably winning at that point.

Let me translate for McCarthy......it wasnt Daks fault; or anyone in uniform....the coaches screwed this up.

To be fair McCarthy did give us a heads up that we would look sloppy early do to not having tape. And in my opinion coaching aside I thought we played much better collectively once the game settled down....again coaching aside.

I thought so too. Just a shame we didn't win, and that OPI was a crying shame.

Dak was horrible.

Zeke was incredible and took two swing passes and made amazing runs for touchdowns.

That padded Dak's stats, but he was hesitant with happy feet all night.

Dalton was the better option last night.

Just a guess, but Big Mike didn't trust his defense to hold them to zero points after that time in the game.

I am more disappointed with the fact that Big Mike didn't recognize our historical troubles with screens and to have the team better prepared to handle them.

McCarthy know if he plays his cards right he'll cash a Jones check for the next ten years.

That's why...

Good grief, Dak had a few errant passes in that game, but overall he was spreading that ball around and making great throws to those that know how to catch a pass. No quarterback whether worth 40 million per years. So I guess Mahomes who has a 10 year contract worth a half billion can never throw ineffectively his entire career. All quarterbacks have games where the ball they throw comes up short or where the receiver needs a shovel to catch the pass.
thats a 28million dollar AAV description of a QB...hes not worth the deal hes seeking.. doesnt mean we hate him or dont want him but good isnt great and defitly not elite..

even with win and MM should have kicked the FG , that for sure...

I don't think Dak did bad considering the team folded in on him. Just that he didn't carry hard like a 40 mill QB he claims to be. But throwing into the feet of a receiver right in front of you, is hard to justify a 40 mill price tag.
Glad SOMEONE Noticed this.

MM did absolutely fantastic - great decisions like going for the tying chip shot FG in the 4th quarter to tie it up.............oh..........wait.......................

Where was the play action deep balls? Where were the underneath stuff, the WR screens, quick strikes, RB sets with both Zeke and Pollard? Where was the short passing game? Where was the RB's more involved in the passing game?

This game was completely confusing to me. It honestly looked like a cookie cutter version of last year. I saw NOTHING different. AS much as running Zeke was working, it played into their hands because it made us a plodding offense. We never played off the running game with play action deep passes.

Didn't played decent, but him and that offense had like 3 opportunities to win the game at the end on a TD drive and they didn't get it done. Even the BS PI call included.

At least for one game those fans that say Dak doesn't deserve 35 million per year are up 1-0.

Exactly. They didn't look like they had prepared at all for what the Rams do.

Yep...…….looked like the Cowboys playing catch up and the Cowboys doing the same thing they did last year on offense.

Probably a result of the defense not practicing against a good screen offense. Our personnel appear to be well equipped to run creative screens, but appear stubborn about it.

LOL

Matt Rhule scored a whole bunch of points on Oakland yesterday with a whole new staff and a bunch of players no one wanted after kicking out their mvp quarterback and long time fantastic Tight End.

But Dallas can't adjust to a new slot wr and right tackle.

Give me a break with this stuff. The problem is right there in front of everyone and everyone here asks it to move out of the way so they can point fingers at some other peripheral element.

So you believe that Oakland and the Rams are of the same caliber? Alright. I guess. I don't even know why you guys keep bringing up the Panthers they lost yesterday lol.

lol...

Yeah man, this loss is on Garrett.
Yikes...you're missing my point. What I'm saying is you can change coaches but if the scheme is bad you didn't really change anything. But go off and keep defending Garrett's scheme.

Romo says thanks for still defending him.
