They kept them to backup and block. That’s why Jarwin who cannot block was signed to go catch passes.

There are several guys to trade for. We are stocked with comp picks and all of those guys won’t make the team in next years draft likely.

That is your opinion. Dallas went into the season with 4 TE not to sit on their *** and do nothing. Sorry not going to panic over Jarwin, I had hopes for him but frankly in the big picture he was still a question mark. All or most of us hoped to see him go out and have a big year

Tampa holding on the Gronk, Howard and Brate... Wasting these 2 young guys careers.
Come on man give us 1....
Indeed... I’ve been trying to get us to trade for Brate for a while now, He’s the first one I thought of when I heard about Jarwin.

Are there any worthwhile TE's available that were on GB's roster while McCarthy was there? Just sayin, that might be the route we go.

Why should they? We basically gave up Witten, who could certainly help us right now and look where we are at......
Howard has only 1 year left on his contract. He will spend the next 2 seasons buried on the bench.
Do you know how trades work? You give up something and you get something.

I'm not sure what you mean by "Why should they"? Seems kind of obvious.

The thing is you don't know if he'll ever be the player he once was. It's hard to believe a player can be that explosive after an ACL repair.
Hey, if Adrian Peterson could come back from his knee injury, Jarwin can sure as Hell come back from a little ACL surgery. After all, can you even tell the difference between them?

Hate losing Jarwin but it is what it is. I don't expect Cowboys to go out and find a TE I think it will fall to Schultz and Bell to fill the role.
Sorry, but I wouldn't put my faith in Schultz becoming a great pass-catching TE. He dropped two of three last night, and the drops were on very important downs.

Would be silly. Schultz is a good backup. We saw what happened when the lights came on for him last night
sarcasm?

The guy dropped balls that hit him in the hands.
He looked like he didn't want to be out there last night.

I don't see Dallas going out and pulling some trade. Fans around here love the 1 sided trade where for hardly nothing we get an outstanding TE, in reality that does not happen. Cowboys went in with 4 TE and it will fall to one of these 3 guys Schultz, Bell or McKeon to do the job.

I'm wondering if Sean McKeon, the TE from Michigan might be a workable solution to our TE need. :)

At least, it won't involve a cost of millions for an outside addition. He was said to have good upside. ;)

If Schultz catches a pass I'm shocked. He's yet to consistently look like football player, let a long TE1.

Didn’t say that.

But you have a Schultz (solid backup), Bell (strictly blocking), McKeon (development guy). They were intended to sit and help Jarwin.

Schultz isn’t ready to be a number one TE. He’s a solid complementary player. It was evident last night

Do you know how depth works? Let me explain it to you, if by next year, we don't have the TE situation figured out, then it won't matter but if your solution is to trade a pick, then what pick are you willing to give up because I'm telling you right now, this is the worst possible time to try trade with them for a TE. A premium would have to be paid so what are you going to offer up? Yeah, you tell me all about it. But while you are coming up with this brilliant idea, remember that if we still had Witten, this would not be an issue right now but I'm sure you know this and were still all on board with shipping him out right?

puff...........

I predicted Jarwin would be done by week 4.
The guy's an over achiever.... smh

I wish him well in his recovery and rehab.
