DC talking heads on Cowboy's website seemed to be calling out Dak

I won't put this game solely on Dak because the defense was just atrocious but he did have his short comings and didn't come through at times we really needed him to.

I think hes probably middle of the pack in terms of where he ranks in the league overall, maybe top 12-13? The problem is do you give that guy 40 million knowing that he needs to be surrounded by great players in order to succeed? Because, it goes without saying, but our defense, especially the secondary, needs alot of help and that costs premium picks or money in FA which we seem to refuse to spend on players we didn't draft.

Also, do you trust this team to find a QB if we decide to let Dak go? I'm not saying our scouts haven't found us some good players but the QB position is a crap shoot as it is so i dont trust that we find that replacement for Dak any time soon.

Also, I wish we could have had McCarthys offense rather then Moore calling the shots there. I feel like we hired a veteran coach to bring his experience and leadership to the team, specifically the offense, then dont strip down his offense or keep what we did last year to appease Dak or the Jones' or anyone else.

We have a long season ahead and Dak will play a huge part in our success or failure.

Let's see what the rest of the way gives us.
 
I am not a dak fan, but this game was a team loss, and I include kellen for bad plays and play calls, and MM for the dumb not kick a fg to tie game.
A lot of players played poorly or made mistakes, and they had a bad game plan.

So to blame this loss on the qb, is really quite stupid.
Dak did not play great, but aside from aldon, I dont think any of the players played great.
 
This is their way of saying don't give him money. They are pocket watching. Analysts shouldn't need to bring up salary in order to talk about a player. Lawrence and Jaylon can be talked about without bringing up their salary. That's a cop out.

Oh, I'm sure they do. I'm just pointing out that dropped passes don't exactly help the cause, and we do seem to have a bit of a history of that. I remember in the Bears game last year, we dropped quite a few.

Randy Moss and Keyshawn Johnson both say it was OPI. Do we see it a lot , both ways yes, it is a judgement call, If the teams were reversed you would be saying it is the right call.

Ummm.....when you invest a large sum of money into a player they are going to be scrutinized even more because of the large financial investment so to say money should not be brought up is insane.

The Cowboys seem to be looking for a way to shake loose of Dak. If true, that they didn't get a deal done because of franchise language at the end of the deal, the Cowboys are really incompetent.

But Dak made the throw to Gallup in order to win the game. Gallup is the one who got called for pushing off and put them even further behind the 8ball.

It seems like for whatever reason Dak is being asked to overcome mistakes made from this team, poor blocking and poor coaching last game. Dak has his fault in the loss but when people try and compare him to people like Russell and Mahomes....what you see from hose teams are well coached teams that don't beat themselves. If Dak was the one holding them back I'd agree but Dak can't and shouldn't have to overcompensate for guys getting penalties at crucial times.
 
I haven't t posted on here for some time because pointing out the mediocrity of Dak's play obviously means you should change teams to the fan boys on here but Sunday night was just another piece of evidence that Dak is just not a $30+m QB.
MM at Green Bay gets a win in sundays game. Why? Rodgers. Give Rodgers this offense and he wins.
Dak will QB the cowboys to win many games this season but deep down do you think he will win the big one? Of what I've seen I cant say I'm too optimistic.
Nice guy but no way a QB that should be paid elite money. If he doesn't get deep in the playoffs he might wish he took Stephen's offer.

Nick Eatman basically said Dak is not clutch, he doesnt bring the team back to win games and the stats prove it. In the Cowboys last 8 games decided by one score, the Cowboys are 1-7. Dak getting the ball back with a minuet or two and driving the team down the field for the winning score does not happen and he said he was actually getting concerned about it.

Spags, usually Mr. Sunshine, was surprisingly critical today as well. Mentioned the same 1-7 record and said they just cant win close games. He didnt really single out Dak specifically like the others, but you get what he was saying without actually saying it.

Now do I blame Dak for the loss? No, he played ok but he was not spectacular just like Holly said. Now like Eatman said, the stats do show that Dak does not win close games for whatever reason. Blame it on dropped passes, blame on poor protection, blame it on the refs with bad calls, blame it on whatever but the fact still remains the Cowboys have lost 7 of their last 8 games when the winning margin was within one score. Dak was the QB in all those games, so the question seems legit of "why cant he win close games, especially if you want to be one of the highest paid QBs in the league.

Its insane because money had nothing to do with that game on Sunday. None at all. Cowboys last I heard have 29 million under the salary cap right? If all you can do is say "Well this is not what 40 million gives you" then you have no leg to stand on. Its lazy.

You guys have to stop bringing that up as if the Cowboys were why they only gave up 20 points. Rams could've easily scored 30 points that game if they wanted to. The only time the defense showed a pulse was when they started putting pressure on Goff and even then the pick Chido got shouldn't' have even counted because of Aldon hitting Goff in the head.

Last i checked he had 14 career game winning drives. Top 5 since he has been in the NFL.
