I am as mad and upset and disappointed as the rest of you. Waited all offseason and was so pumped all day. And then that happened.

End of first half we started looking better. The second half we just did not pop. The Defense maybe got a little better. But Offense seems to just flounder like always.

Our kicker missed a FG. - But all together our ST was a relief to see better than last year. Nice return. No real injuries.

Our Defense got ran through again. With these big named players we have I was thinking maybe we would come out better. - But they got better after a while and I think they may get much better once it’s figured out. WE GOT A INT!!! We lost LVE for a while. That’s gonna hurt.

Our Offense as I said just flopped around. Dak held the ball a few times longer than he should. He has to start rolling himself out to buy time. Only put 17 points up. Our O-Line sucked on the interior, no other way to put it. - But Elliot looks good and our WR looked pretty good and we will gel. We lost Jarwin and it’s a bigger step down to the next man up. I am not sure how to feel about going for it on 4th down instead of making the game tied. And we had a bad call at the end IMO, we could have won. Typical for us right.

Bottom line is it’s one game and they will get in gear and should do better. We got tore up in the middle by donald but he is a elite player. It happens.

I will be right here rooting again Sunday. Years we lose our first game we make it to the playoffs. If you believe in that kind of thing.. Lol.

I've moved on to ATL. No way can we go 0-2, and I'm positive ATL is saying the same.

They are just as bad or worse on defense. But their offense scares me. They are quick strike and we could be down big early

Good post! .......the defense played a lot new player and a little bit of a different scheme from last year and it showed. Notice lots of times we had only 2-3 players around the ball making tackles. They didn't play as a team...

It sure was a learning experience for the entire team. Coaches and players, let's see how they adjust and improve.

It's not just 1 game. It was all supposed to be different. Different schemes, different plays, different attitude, different level of performance and executuion. Yet, everything was exactly the same. Mostly Dak waiting for WRs to get open on comeback routes, huge holes in the DL and wide open spaces all over the field for the other team to exploit, no adjustments to what the other team was doing, no help to a struggling OLineman, no exploiting the other team's weakness, simply nothing different at all. It's not a stretch to say that we may have even won that game if Garrett and his staff was still in place. Somebody please tell me what all the secrecy was about. After watching that game, I have to conclude that they just didn't want everyone to know that they didn't change anything at all. So yeah, it's only 0-1, but it's so much more. The team is still on the same path which is leading nowhere. The wholesale changes we were sold didn't happen which should bother and disgust everyone.

This is almost all true, but what wholesale changes? On offense we got CeeDee Lamb and lost Witten. Then Looney for Frederick. The OC is the same. The play caller is the same. Why did we think it was going to be different?

On defense we got Poe, Griffin, Aldon Smith, and Diggs. We lost Byron Jones. We did get a new DC and scheme, but it looks like the defense should be better given the new players. They didn't look it. It could be the defense is learning a new scheme and isn't comfortable with it yet. Maybe they just need time to get it together.

It's still just 1 game and not an indicator fo where the team will end up.

Granted, that OL performance and the loss of the RT, MLB and TE are definitely a concern but look at it this way, we get to see this coaching staff up against adversity really early on. I like that, I always like to see how they respond when it doesn't go right.

Moore is supposed to be an offensive genius. Where was the offense from weeks 1-3 last season? The motion, the misdirection, the new well designed plays?

On defense, can someone explain to me why other teams can appear to be smothering offenses with what looks like 13-14 guys on the field? When I watch other games, some defenses have a defender right there on nearly every play knocking the ball away, contesting the catch, or making the immediate tackle. Dallas still seems to be playing with 9 guys giving everyone 5 yard cushions and doesn't contest anything. They only get off the field when the other team scores or makes a mistake. The one possession they brought pressure, they forced a quick 3 and out so why isn't that the defense or at least the mindset much more often? They allow the offense to dictate and then react once the ball is already 3-5 yards downfield. It's maddening to watch and then watch other teams play real defense.

glim, nice try and you are right but you know better than to expect any posters to go "you know, you're right". In fact, they usually get more pissed the next day, today, after they get to see and hear from Booger and the coaches.

I am much more interested to see how they respond against ATL this week than how they played in LA.

I would really have liked to see McC in his post game go "Relax, R E L A X, Relax". He might have even gotten a text form Rodgers after that.

We had some threads welcoming McC in the off season and a could after that game but I don't think even he imagined that his first Must Win game would be his 2nd one.

I want recognition for that too. I worked in Must Win earlier than anyone else and you know it was coming, just not this soon. If he loses to ATL and is headed to SEA, he's going to think GB was a party.

They started 0-1 the last three playoff years.

Just don't make it 0-2 and then going to Seattle, or they are in trouble.

That's why those saying last week was somehow a must-win were off.
It's when you lose game 1 that you end up with a rare early-season "almost" must-win in game 2.
Teams starting 0-2 have a huge uphill battle.....and 0-3 is nearly impossible.

Dallas should put up 30 plus points on Atlanta, their defense isn't great. If it's another performance like week 1, I think McCarthy has to take over playcalling.

I expect Ridley and Julio to get some yards but I think the defense, especially with Atlanta offense, should look much better.

true and the kick was over 50 so?

Im sick and angry over all the negativity, yes it was disappointing and post about being unhappy is expected but off the rails crazy posts about every player sux, MM is a fraud, KM should not be kept and all the players balah blah..it makes it much worse and its sickening..just fn sickening..

Like im surrounded by other teams fans..just sad really..one dang game on the road lost by 3 after this type of offseason where we might not have had football at all, and this response is SAD..

CALM DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well what have they been doing the whole time? Are you telling me MM sat around for a year and concluded Jason Garrett was a football genius and everything he did was the best way to do things? That's what Sunday Night looked like because that looked like the exact same team doing the exact same things on both sides of the ball. There is nothing to be excited about because nothing is different except the head coach looks twice as big now.

I told people that Garrett did not take over the offensive play calling after game 3 of last year.

Now I have proof beyond just Kellen, Dak, and Garrett already saying that did not occur.
Imagine that.....They weren't all 3 bald-faced liars after all.

However, for those saying all KM was calling was short routes. That's not true. They had deeper routes in the route tree sets throughout the entire game.

Now if we want to complain about lack of pre-snap motion, well that's another story. Go for it.

Let's be fair, they got surprised by McVay's game plan and it took them a half to figure out what he was doing to them but it was a great strategy and exactly what he needed to do after last season.

I also think the Cowboys coaching staff went to LA thinking their OL and DL were better than that.

glim is right, it is one game but it could be a very valuable one because they've sure as hell got all of the players' attention this week because ATL is no pushover.

That worries me some. Maybe to many single players and not enough team. And the runs up the middle. I thought Poe was supposed to handle that stuff. Lol. But we got a pick. So that was exciting.
