It’s one game

I watched it and he called it a little differently because of that suspect OL but he kept calling Barkley's number to keep them honest. He had to, once they got untracked, the Steelers looked ready to play. Their DL play was second only to the Rams opening weekend.

Rothliesberger was rusty to start off but that's why they have a great D. A great D can keep it close and keep them in the game while they work the bugs out. I still can't stand him but find myself pulling for his comeback. At his age and that injury with no assurance he could ever throw again, most guys would have called it quits.
Maybe the rams are going to end up having a top 3 defense this year. That would make me feel better knowing it was only our own mistakes that lost this one. If we took the FG earlier it’s likely OT game. I was shocked to see us go for that.

I am as mad and upset and disappointed as the rest of you. Waited all offseason and was so pumped all day. And then that happened.

End of first half we started looking better. The second half we just did not pop. The Defense maybe got a little better. But Offense seems to just flounder like always.

Our kicker missed a FG. - But all together our ST was a relief to see better than last year. Nice return. No real injuries.

Our Defense got ran through again. With these big named players we have I was thinking maybe we would come out better. - But they got better after a while and I think they may get much better once it’s figured out. WE GOT A INT!!! We lost LVE for a while. That’s gonna hurt.

Our Offense as I said just flopped around. Dak held the ball a few times longer than he should. He has to start rolling himself out to buy time. Only put 17 points up. Our O-Line sucked on the interior, no other way to put it. - But Elliot looks good and our WR looked pretty good and we will gel. We lost Jarwin and it’s a bigger step down to the next man up. I am not sure how to feel about going for it on 4th down instead of making the game tied. And we had a bad call at the end IMO, we could have won. Typical for us right.

Bottom line is it’s one game and they will get in gear and should do better. We got tore up in the middle by donald but he is a elite player. It happens.

I will be right here rooting again Sunday. Years we lose our first game we make it to the playoffs. If you believe in that kind of thing.. Lol.
Exactly throughout this bad team played game we still only lost by 3 and still should have won the game

The Dallas defense hasnt been good in a very long time.

The 12-4 and 13-3 seasons of late was about the offense helping out the defense largely.

That doesnt seem to be the case anymore and until it does, things wont be any better.

It's going to take years to fix this defense as is.
Starts with draft and FA. Big FA hits this year but these are hired hands for the year. Aldon looked good. Wish we could have gotten a 3 year deal with him.

One play here or there or no flag on that last pass and we scoot out of there with the win.

Yes, unlike a certain coach that would stand there and say, when asked about it.......it's a process...
JG maybe saying that about his offense this week. I didn’t watch the game but sounds like it was a ugly game for the giants. After week 1 and washington is leading our division.

Same here, but I understand why he did it.

I think this first game came down to which team wanted it more and the Rams play in the toughest division in the NFL with few L's to give up and were opening the new 5B stadium. The state of the East and PHL's problems, seen as the only challenger, gave the players a false sense of security. This game was far more important to the Rams than the Cowboys.

According to the reports, McVay spent the off season trying to toughen his OL and run game up and starting off like that was just what the doctor ordered. They were 9-7, playing an 8-8 and opening a new stadium on the Game of the Week. The Cowboys, undeservedly so, get a lot of Game of the Week's.

I don't have a problem losing that game because I like finding out what a coaching staff and team is made of early on. They weren't going 16-0 so what's the big deal?

Exactly I'm still hopeful for a double digit win season but we need to upgrade a few positions
Gonna be hard to do now that the goat rodeo already has started. Lol. Would like to see us get a TE. Unless Shultz will step up. And ya know apparently Steele didn’t do that bad standing in for Collins. Maybe they gel more this week in practice. Not every week our O-Line will face donald. He is a game wrecker, but we usually have him under control.

I don’t think so. We could have executed better and was hoping our Defense would be ready for the quick pass attack. What’s happened is the rams laid out the blueprint for other teams. But other teams don’t have a donald and our O-Line will get better as time goes on. Our Defense will tighten up and gel sooner than later. We still only came up short by a play or decision from beating a descent team playing a stadium opening game.

All this whining about week 1 is a bunch of crap. Good Lord, relax. But what the Cowboys are going to have to address is what the Rams did to succeed. Or else every team in the league on our schedule is going to repeat. Swing passes to the flat and runs up the middle. This is high school stuff. Make the offense go downfield.
