Time to fire up Bernard

We got hit hard week one with injuries, LVE, Jarwin, OL.
I would rather roll with what we have, we brought in a couple off of other teams PS,, but I would rather
at least at LB see what we have in what we already have rostered.
Not saying at all that Bernard starts at MLB, I imagine its going to be Gifford next man up for that role, but Bernard should be in the mix somewhere in that group.
TE is a major issue now, but we were so thin there with just Jarwin and Schultz,, maybe McKeon gets a
look, but it wasnt enough to start the season, and its not like starting caliber TEs are available,, so we wont recover from Jarwins loss all season.
You have to have depth there to begin the season to sustain a loss like that considering the position.
Philosophy shift will be necessary to change how this offense can attack with lack of TE being relevant on this offense, and that comes down to coaching.
So at least we can evaluate that aspect of this team considering the punch in the gut we just took game 1.

Based on everything I'm seeing on Twitter, Bernard isn't even being called up from the PS.

If he is actually worse than Jaylon Smith I dont see how he made it this far.

I'm going to assume he isnt and itll be very interesting to see if the staff is willing to bench 54 and his contract and make Jerry look bad.

I doubt it. It's still the Jerry show here unfortunately.

..lol.. cant imagine him being worse than Jaylon. Jaylon couldn't smell Tuna if it was on his shirt.

I've only watched the tape of the first half but Joe Thomas wasn't a disaster coming in at Mike. I don't think we need to make any rash moves if LVE is only going to be out six weeks, even though I'm bullish on Bernard's future.

I do think Jaylon is pretty bad and I do think he should be replaced. However you're point is spot on. The coaches know much better than we do. If Bernard was worth it he would be on the roster.

Sanity check here...

Bernard was a UDFA. So we are at the point where we need to fire up rookie UDFAs to win games? Is it that bad in Dallas?

Well Dallas is protecting him on the practice squad, so there is something there

Looking forward to him being out there.

Would be more excited had we not just waived him and 31 other teams said no thanks.

I never stated that,, read.....
Bernard needing to be fired up means that he should be called up and be a part of the game day actives.

Sorry for biting *** today,, Cowboys losses always put me in a very sour mood.

I get it. I used to be surly after losses. When I was young I was just mean and nasty after a loss. I calmed down after kids and marriage. I would still be mopey after a loss. My wife would say “...why do you watch if it just makes you upset?”

Good story. In 2008 Dallas was playing Pittsburgh. We were down in Disney and out to dinner. I just found out I won $1800 in my fantasy football league. I was pretty happy. My wife was psyched because she was about to spend it all over the new few days. I finished dinner and went to the ESPN Zone to watch Tony Romo absolutely blow that game. Terrible pick to lose the game. We were staying at the Beach Club so I walked back to the hotel pissed off. In Disney. Went to the room and was just moody as hell. Next day my wife said losing the fantasy football money wasn’t a big deal. We didn’t need it. I told her I won the league I was pissed about the Cowboys. She let me have it for ruining the last 24 hours in Disney. She was right, the Cowboys aren’t worth it.
