Curious...

How many would like to see Gregory and Smith be the starting DEs? This assumes Gregory stays out of trouble and gets in football shape quickly.

I do.

Being able to do everything but practice with the team sounds a lot like puberty:laugh:

If I want to improve our rush defense.......starting Gregory ain't the way to do it......

Is he much worse than Lawrence? We want run stopping DEs? He is actually pretty good vs the run.
I haven't seen enough of him to even suggest he's good at stopping DE's I haven't seen him play since 2018.

I do know that's one of Lawrences stronger suit.

We want complete DE's....guys who can contain the run and get to the quarterback. I'm not going to overreacting over one game and stoop as low as having Gregory out there over Lawrence. That's insane.

I know Gregory has been an enigma. Guy was a stud run defender in college. My point was assuming Gregory is finally ready to go. I know that’s a leap. He is unquestionably a better player than Lawrence though.

Gregory was actually coming on in his last stint on the field. in 2018 he had 6 sacks, 2 Forced Fumbles, 11 tackles for a loss, 23 Qb hits, 19 solo tackles. That was in 14 games, with only 2 starts.

Those are some mind blowing stats for a guy who wasnt on the field a lot.

If he's a better run stopper than Lawrence than sure. I have seen nothing to suggest that though.

It’s part of the NFL transitioning program that they have to go through all these steps first
So he's not reinstated he's still having to follow steps to get back to this team? I mean I get it I just don't get the wait for him to get with this team. Seems counter productive to have him away from the organization until now.

It’s very odd but yes. He can’t really practice for weeks I believe. Funny how the league took all offseason for this and reinstated him at the beginning of TC. Now he has to miss games because of this deal. Shady
