For all you Dak haters. Look what your hero Wentz has been up to

I did. About Wentz specifically, I'm not interested in your misguided thoughts on where my team is at. You have worse problems and are in no position to talk about my team when yours is far worse.

god forbid we talk about the cowboys on the main board

I know you’re playing a stupid game of semantics here, so you know he’s not arguing against the literal mathematical fact that 14-2 is possible.

Of course it’s possible.

that’s obvious.

He’s arguing the mathematical probability of the eagles going 14-2.

quit playing semantics.

you going to take him up on that bet?

Why the €£&$ would a single person ever take a bet like that seriously. Either he has no idea how to make a reasonable bet, or he has no idea who he’s taking to

maybe, maybe not. 9ers already lost their QB, may not be their for our game, and they didn’t beat the cardinals when they had him. And the Steelers beat a couple of team not any more impressive than the eagles, and not exactly in impressive fashion either. Broncos had no business being in that game. 2 weeks is much too short to decide the identity of any of these teams.

well I agree with that especially given such a shortened training camp. Lots of fleshing out to do in the league.

You can however make some plausible assumptions about certain teams though. For instance, the Jets suck and the Ravens are SB caliber.

SB caliber is fancy ‘on paper’ words though. You can say they’re really good, but where they super bowl caliber last year? Does that mean the titans are even more super bowl caliber? I agree Baltimore is very good

0-2 and most everyone under-performing gives us a pretty good indication at this point.

SB caliber teams don’t always make the SB. There are generally a hand full of SB-caliber teams every year. For instance, our 94 team was a SB-caliber team. Didn’t make it.

Really? It happens quite often that teams turn that around and make the playoffs. Almost yearly it seems. NE routinely had an awful game early, even started 0-2 one of the years they won

but to ignore that and say “this is who they are” because of 2 games?

Who's "we"? I'm talking about you. When your team is winless and looks far worse, you don't get to downplay what anyone else is doing.

You're looking up at your betters.

that goes back to the 2 game thing. What if Baltimore out of nowhere loses 4 in a row? Have they suddenly lost their super bowl caliber-ness? What made them super bowl caliber before that they no longer have? Its all hot button terms to sell TV shows on ESPN. And then no one acknowledges they were wrong about this or that at the end of the season

but as I said before, it’s relative. It doesn’t matter how we look, you could say we looked worse than you last year. But we moved on To the second season while you sat on the couch. Looking Worse or looking better doesnt win football games.

How about this fact:

Typically a team starting 0-2 has about a 12 percent chance of reaching the postseason

Let's see exactly who is "ignoring" what here?

Who do you think you're actually kidding here other than yourself?

there’s nothing typical about a division that has 6 losses through 2 weeks. Someone has to win this dumpster fire so it might as well be philly

No, winning games does.

And you're winless.

And in case you missed it, you were the guy that suggested the Cowboys looked "worse" in the first place.

So is this more of your double-talk?

I never said Philly didn’t look better, You did and I never agreed with you. now you’re just putting words in my mouth.

not my double talk, you’re making up arguing points to debate yourself.

It exposes this whopper of a lie you tried to pass through:

In case you're really that bad at math, 12% is the opposite of "quite often".

Here are your own words:

you’ve been worse the first 2 games this year than you were for most of last year. 29-10 halftime deficit loses to 30 of the teams in the nfl. Only a classic Atlanta disaster has kept you from 0-2

Sure prognosticators can be wrong about particular SB-caliber teams but it doesn’t take away from there consistently being more than 2 SB-caliber teams on year to year basis.

Giants were 9-7 in 2011 and won the SB after upsetting a 15-1 defending SB champion GB team with Aaron Rodgers at Lambeau in the playoffs.

does that mean the Packers weren’t a SB caliber team?

of course not. That’s absurd.

They have no receivers and no OL. Wentz hasn't played well, but it's not like you can realistically grade him.
I've been told on this board that doesn't matter. A good QB elevates bad players around him. Or does that only apply to Dak?
