Does anyone truly believe we can beat the Browns?

We should win. We are more talented.

Defense has to improve (especially in coverage). Play Donovan Wilson at Safety. The current starters have been total busts. Linebackers have to improve in coverage as well.

Oline needs to step it up. Keep Biadasz at Center, Looney at Right Guard, Martin at Right Tackle, if Tyron can play, have him back at his starter's Left Tackle position, if not, keep Knight in his place, lastly...determine whether McGovern can start at Left Guard or not because Connor Williams has been stinking up the joint.

Finally, Special Teams needs to fix their mental mistakes and step it up.

As for Kellen Moore, agreed on him being a Jeckyll/Hyde type. I'd rather prefer he would become a Hyde ruthless type and come out with full guns a'blazing while using all kinds of trickery to better make use of our offensive weapons, but Moore might not have the spine for it.
I agree that we can win, but how the heck are we more talented?

Myles Garrett will destroy Brandon Knight all day. Seattle had no one like him.
he wont be alone this coaching staff will have plan, weve seen it , they are doing much better job getting help on the OL

the Browns better figure out how to stop A Smith hes the one beating doubles and one play he got past 3 blockers.. remember him, hes the leading sack leader? i know for fact Baker caves under pressure he will give the ball away and we will bring the heat..they will most likely try and ugly the game up with the run game and we can play that way as well..that might help this team..

if we dont beat ourselves we win this one going away

We can win.....
  • if Tyron is at left T and Martin is at right T and the interior guys don’t muck it up
  • if we don’t turn it over and give the Browns short fields multiple times
  • if our defense can slow down Nic Chub
  • if our secondary doesn’t allow the Brown receivers to run free like in Seattle
I love Russell Wilson, from here in VA, and he has had a great start, but frankly, just about any NFL scrub could have killed us with receivers running free and deep all game long. If that isn’t fixed, the Browns have enough defense to actually blow us out for the first time this year.

We should... if we dont.. then something is rotten to the very core

They matchup at our weaknesses.

-Our O-line is depleted. Collins isn’t going to be back til who knows, who knows what’s going on with Tyron. And they have Myles Garrett on the opposite end. After the Seahawks so called “atrocious” pass rush got pressure on Dak multiple times due to multiple holes opening (mostly because of Connor Williams and Joe Looney when he was in). Who knows what we’re in for with Myles Garrett. This may be a repeat of the Atlanta game back in 2017....

-Our defense as a whole. While Aldon Smith made huge strides forward last week, he alone cannot defeat an entire team. D-Law continues to be a no show, Jaylon is slow, our secondary is hot garbage. Need I go on? Even Diggs is not that great. Yes he’s a rookie so I’ll cut him some slack, but man. When a rookie who’s always 2 steps behind is your best corner, you’re in extremely bad shape. Jarvis Landry? Odell? They’re going to feast on this horrendous secondary. Baker isn’t the best QB, but he can light your defense up on occasion. Especially if our front 7 can’t get pressure on him? Yeah. I’m not sure on that. Everyone says to give the defense time, however, we’re running out of time here. These are supposed to be the “easier”
games. If we can’t show up and show out, we’re either done in the division, or one and done in the playoffs.

Their running game is off the charts. Hunt and Chubb are a dangerous combo. With Jaylon Snail Smith running out there, I’m not sure we’re going to be able to stop the run. Good lord.

I’m not sure how we win this. I’ve heard the Browns secondary isn’t that great, which is good for Dallas, however, we have a common enemy here: Kellen Moore, aka, Jekyll and Hyde. Unless we’re down, he’s Hyde. Screwing things up. Calling stupid playcalls.

Thoughts ?

I'm not sure where the "Jaylon is slow" narrative began but if anything he's overly aggressive. I saw people saying that on the play where Lockett went in motion parallel to the line of scrimmage - Lockett is one of the faster WRs in the NFL. No LB is running with him. Something is wrong when Jaylon is picking him up in the first place.

As for the Browns, yeah they're beatable. They commit turnovers and stupid penalties (sounds familiar) that cost them games. Their 2 wins are home games vs Cincinnati and the WFT. Baltimore destroyed them.

Defensively, we appear to be into much the same shape we were in when Rob Ryan was our DC.

Our mentally limited players just didn't appear to absorb the various complexities of his scheming.

I can't help but wonder if the players we have in house might be able to learn it, given more time?

I don’t see us beating the Browns. We certainly have the ability to beat them but they’re a better team right now.

On the last 2 plays of the Seattle game when we were trying to win, Seattle rushed 3 against our 5 o linemen and still got to the qb. Thats very weak and embarrassing.

You don't believe we are more talented than the Browns?
I would trade our entire defense for theirs. I don’t think our receivers are any better than theirs, and they have multiple TEs better than ours. Currently, our OL is one of the worst in the NFL. So where are we more talented? I like our QB better, but if our secondary plays like it did last week, Mayfield will look like an MVP.

the cowboys have not lost to the browns since 1994. Bellichick beat Barry switzer! This current browns franchise has never beaten the cowboys.

A loss sunday is going to be a huge downer. Feels like it will just be another back and forth game.

its two average football teams if the cowboys continue to keep making the mistakes that they have been making they will lose this team has lost games they had no business losing if they just stop with the mistakes they win those games but until they fix what is wrong with them they are just like the browns

Do they have Jim Brown and Otto Graham? Then nope, noway we could beat them. But since they don't, yeah we can beat them.

LOL. The issue is you’re probably really believe he’s better
He probably is. I've never watched him much, so does he glitch out and run around in the backfield until the protection fails and throws behind guys and at their feet?

appreciate the honesty. Prescott has been brilliant. He is not the reason we lost. He’s the reason we were actually in the game . Protection doesn’t Improve when you’re running around it breaks down. Just ask Rogers

in a clean game where we dont shoot ourselves in the foot time and time again YES we could have chance to beat them.. I think we could easily play KC better then Baltimore did because we can score and score quickly where Baltimore could not..

you must of missed how Cinci took KC to overtime and the KC kicker made what 3 50plus kicks just to keep them in that game, they are a great team but they arent unbeatable , the issue is can we stop making mistakes...

some of us see the Dc can be great if they get out of their own way..
all good points...

It's the defense that would get torched by those teams

So, the OP doesn’t think we have a chance to beat the Browns at home? I see this as another nominee for Stupid Post of the Year award.

We are also a fluke onside recovery away from being winless.

So yes, we are very capable of beating the Browns and we are also very capable of losing to the Browns.
..you can say, lady luck hasn't been to kind to us early on. We better change casinos.. ;)..
