Would you be open to trading Zeke for a couple draft picks?

If we falter and go 1 and 3 over the next 4 games and have a record of 2-6. Would you be open to trading Zeke for a couple draft picks.

I would want at least a 1st and 3rd and would be ecstatic with 2 1st.

The dream is over, the O line is shot, with Dak here Zeke will only struggle and Zeke is just a luxury for the Cowboys at this point.

The last 4 years have been wasted and its time to move on. The Cowboys could parlay those pics into a QB and draft RB in the 3rd.

That would be a Belichek power move. Then maybe we could trade Cooper for a 2nd or 3rd

His dead cap this year would be 19mil, or 8mil additional dead cap.
Traded next year, 14.9mil dead cap, or 1.2mil more than if he was on the team.

Zeke and his contract aren't going to get you 2 firsts in this lifetime - a first and a third are a stretch.

This fantasy of the Cowboys drafting a new QB in 2021 is going to come down hard on some folks here. Jerry isn't about to start over at that position whether you want him to or not.

When I talk about future transcations its based on what is best for the team. You call drafting a QB or finsing a stop gap in free agency a fantasy.

But if it doesnt happen this team will be a dumpster fire until Dak's contract, in which you believe to be a fore gone conclusion. Is over.

We have seen the best of Dak and what he is capable of doing and its not good enough in this league. The player is an anchor holding this team down.

I realize you hate the contract but some contender may not. In a season where everyone are falling to injury Zeke is a beast any team could ride to a championship.

I think we have about 8 million free this year. And next year could be absorbed with Dak off the Books

It's just not realistic.

The Cowboys aren't going to pull the plug this year with the rest of the NFCE floundering as well.
They just gave Zeke that deal and recently restructured it. With the cap possibily being stagnate or declining next year, having that much dead money is an even worse waste of assets compared to paying a RB that much.
Zeke isn't worth a 1st, let alone a first+

And, I get some have high opinions on Dak, for and against, but there's nothing I see that they'll let him walk next year. Team isn't bad enough like the Jets or Giants to end up in the Lawrence sweepstakes.

LOL at this point you would need to give someone draft picks to take him off your hands but to answer your question in a heart beat.

No one os dumb enough to give up a 1st AND another pick on top of his contract. I honestly don’t even think any team would give up a first unless it was at the very bottom of the 1st and even that’s a stretch.

If he doesn’t have a very good line he’s not near as much of a threat and rarely creates plays on his own. Contrary to what his fan boys say, he leaves a lot of yards on the field that other RB’s wouldn’t.

For a few years now he has ranked almost last in elusiveness and his middle of the pack or worse in broken tackles, forced missed tackles, yards after contact, yards after catch, and yards from scrimmage.

Remember what zeke said himself “stats don’t lie” because apparently the only one he knows is total yards otherwise he wouldn’t have said that unless he wanted to point out how mediocre his stats are.

There’s a reason people don’t give zeke the respect he thinks he “deserves” but the only people who are in denial or don’t know why are zeke and his homer fan boys.

My loyalty can be bought for the benefit of the team. Big cap hit, but for the right price...Just don't think anyone would pay the right price.

I would trade him in a heartbeat.

But you wont get much more than a 3rd rounder.

Well, if he's traded then there is no cap hit to us because the team who trades for him takes his salary on but then again, that's exactly why you won't get a decent deal for him so...............

with pollard at RB? hmmm. I guess all your are saying is lets tank the season.

and what do you think teams will pay in draft picks for a RB with a large salary?

and how do your replace Zeke...the draft? you think its easy to find a RB in draft? if you do, don't you think other teams do too....and what would they then pay for zeke?

Zeke is the least of our problems right now......., especially with the current OL issues.
He wasn’t against the Falcons fumbling the ball twice on 3 carries, one of which led to a TD which could have cost us the game.

Dropping 3 short passes against Seattle certainly didn’t help either.

Bush league performance against two good teams by a RB his jock sniffers call the best RB in the league. I’m sure he’ll come up big and pad his stats against the next 5 teams who have a combined record of 5 wins and all will be forgotten until he drops the ball both literally and figuratively against the next good team we play.
