Read a tweet last week that he's playing on one leg......but

This tells me he's still impacting this D in many ways that are not showing on a stat sheet. Is it enough, probably not coz fans wanna see sacks but it's obvious he still making plays with/without sacks.

BTW.....he's leading the team with 9 pressures

Is Tank the Dak of the defense?

For what hes making. I would prefer him do more than help other people do better. Demarcus Ware was doubled all the time. Didnt seem to affect him after he got paid.

His snap counts is down from previous years (percentage wise) but that is likely do to whatever leg issues he's having, I would guess.

He definitely makes the defense better. It's kind of silly to argue otherwise. The issue is that he's paid to play like Lawrence Taylor and he's not put up the flashy stats that go along with it. But to me, his $20MM cap hit is way better than say Crawford's $9MM cap hit.

That helps things to look a bit better, but I honestly can't think of many (or any) monster right tackles that Lawrence has had to go up against thus far either. And if I had to guess who offenses are focused on, I'd say it's the guy actually getting the sacks.

Tank and Jaylon are hot garbage

GREAT job using the material posted by the OP (thank you @Hawkeye0202 btw) to make a logical and accurate inference **Heavy Sarcasm**

It is the fans like you who give the logical, reasonable fans out there a bad name. Probably the type who pumps the team up to an unrealistic degree as well before the season starts, then jumps off the bandwagon immediately after one bad performance. Its clear that Tank has an overall positive effect on the defense when he is on the field.

Now, maybe it is not the positive effect that YOU or other fans are looking for (namely, sacks and QB Pressures- even though he leads the team in pressures rn, go figure?), but it is still a net positive. Would i like him to start racking up sacks and is it disappointing when he doesn't? Of course, and anyone who is a fan of this team would probably agree. But that doesn't mean that he is "trash" like you so eloquently stated. Clearly the guy is a presence on this Defense and we need him to get healthy and start getting to the QB so that his true presence is felt even more.

When he had no good palyer oposite him and he got criticized hey said he has no sacks because he is missing a good player.

Now he has one for the second straight yearand he still doesnr produce its hey the other performs because of him.

Guess what ?! The other performs because he is good. DLaw doesnt perform because he is .... ? Fill in yourself. ;-)

Too early for small sample size numbers but the point is true, DLaw draws double teams and its part of the overall success of the pass rush.

Also a lot of the top pass rushers are one dimensional, while DLaw plays both the pass and run very well.

Elite produces when double teamed. Very good, not so much, but demands double teams.

DLaw's ceiling is very good, while he's paid like elite. Obvious when we signed him.

Wonder how that looks for other players, like ASmith.
