Texas has got to contain the run in that situation

No way you should give up and outside run for 70 and a td

And I don't like that short kick for Texas tech

Yes, that short kickoff was a poor decision. You have to kick deep and make the opponent earn every yard. Tech decided they don't play defense, either. Blew their best chance at winning. Maybe they pull it off in overtime, but they didn't go for the kill in regulation.

To be fair, many those SEC scores are pretty high today too.

Defense optional nationwide, at least today.

Still a L for the Hogs, but not as bad as I thought it would be.

Don't pretend you didn't think UT was in a tough spot when Tech scored their last TD. Tech turned it off after that. Everything they were doing right, they just stopped doing.
I not pretending anything, jo.
But I didn't think the game was completely over.....and I was right.
Thats very different from Texas just being in a tough spot. Of course they were.

Wow it's been a long time since I have seen a complete choke by a team like Texas Tech today. As soon as they went up 15, it's like they stopped trying. Their coach should be feeling the heat. He won't be fired for this now BUT this is the type of loss that gets highlighted on your resume in a few years when they do decide to fire you.

Just a thought....and I don't care either way.....
