Texans Players Force Bill O’Brien To Pass On Earl Thomas

More evidence of the players' network that exists along with the coaches' network. These guys know quite a few players throughout the league and you can bet players on SEA and BAL have been reached out to by players on teams considering him.

Makes you wonder. Players will put up with a lot from "bad actors" including abusing children and women, cheating with PED's and other various infractions but the HOU players draw a line with Thomas. What don't we know?

ET is one of my favorite Longhorn players ever. I thought we were going to be able draft him until he ran that 4.3 forty at his pro-day. I honestly hate that he has built sort of a Antonio Brown reputation as a cancer to the locker room despite having hall of fame type of talent. At some point some team will take a chance on him but it may not be until next season after teams see that he has been humbled.

Exactly why if Trysten Hill is about to go down a "dirty" road, he better reign that back in. The players network does keep score. Are the Texans players "making a big deal" out of a player "with an edge?" Opine, my pretties, opine.

and yet al the Jerry and Stephen troll threads on passing on ET even though its league wide..fans are ridiculous..he may well still end up here if we become more desperate but doubt it.

Damn.......it's rare a talented vet player can no longer get a job in the league because of his behavior. Hell, I can only think of 3, Dez, Greg Hardy, and Ray Rice. When coaches or players, ( especially players) don't want you in their locker room, it's bad. He may be done.......

If there's a place for Dak Prescott in the league there's a place for Earl Thomas.
I still can't figure it out.

Mostly we have heard rumors players voted to not take him on.

That's just really strange.

I have rarely heard this as a reason to not sign someone. As for us..our secondary is going to cost us any hope of getting us to the playoffs.

And we sit pat as ET is available?

Are we so insecure as a team to not be able to figure out an answer that both parties can agree to ?

To me we are not one player away from a SB..

We maybe one player away from not even being in contention for anything except a top 5 draft pick in the 2021 draft.

Humbling to consider in only Week 4.

One thing the Ravens didn't like was ET improvising and not being in position. This notion that he's going to ride in like a hero and fix the Cowboys defense is a fantasy.

I'm surprised that David hasn't gotten out in front of this narrative on behalf of ET. Maybe his 1st concern is ensuring that the PA is able to get the full $10M from the Ravens or as close to it.

Sitting out a year is not going to make teams forget his toxic behavior and even if he would come across has some humble player most if not all teams will believe that to be a front or act just to get a paycheck.

Understood.

But that is on the coaches to correct.

If he is making the correct improvisation decisions who cares?

We have seen him single handedly destroy a team with that style play.

Remember what he did to us?

It was mayhem.

I sign him but carefully pay him a base amount and add reachable incentives to even out his effort if he complies.

Name what meetings Prescott missed or was late or unprepared. Name what players Prescott sucker punched. Name what locker room where Prescott is considered a cancer. Maybe it's time to take your Prescott haters glasses off.

yeah well imo the locker room and chemistry stuff only works if ur team is good and wins games. ravens could say it. texans just sound like losers.
