One good thing is the amount of scapegoats seem to be shrinking. Can't blame Garrett for coaching and can't blame Marinelli for tricking them into poor draft choices.

Sooner or later, the entire fan base will realize where the actual problem is.

If you really believe Jerry wants to win, then examine this roster and explain to me how this clusterfudge was supposed to lead to winning?

Even the very few Jerry defenders left are starting to sound hollow to themselves.

Even with a new HC who seemingly has more authority, there is still no pressure for the players to play well. At the end of the day, they know Jerry and Stephen will vouch for them and have their backs no matter what.

Jerry and Stephen are the main reasons why we are here today. They don't know football and because they are rich, they can do what they want with this team.

They need to hire a true football wizard. Give that person in charge of personnel and let them build the team - not Jerry, not Stephen.

Stephen should actually be "more convicted" about doing more than talking about problems. Actually doing something meaningful might help. Convince Papa Jerry to step down as GM to hire someone far more capable could ultimately be a miraculous start.
I'll bet that'd be far too courageous of a thing for him to consider! :muttley:

People would respect the owners more if they were directly honest with the fan base. Stop with the copy n paste responses over the past 20 years.

Just come straight out and say yes we know we suck and have major issues. We will be making changes shortly by xxxxx etc
I would have a new respect for them if they would. And when I say new, I mean brand new.

Not that there's much more than can actually be done, or at least anything they can express publicly... this is the same exact rhetoric we've seen a couple hundred Mondays over the past couple of decades. Most times I wish they would just say nothing.

I wouldn't expect them to come out and say it but in reality, given the historic ineptness of the defense, Nolan should absolutely be on a short leash. If the defense goes out and finds the Giants moving the ball and scoring on them (regardless of the outcome) and then the Cardinals come in and score on them at will too, how in the world do you keep trying to convince yourself that it's just lack of familiarity with the new scheme? We'd be 6 games in and still had an August camp.

He doesn't though and I don't understand the "seemingly" part.

He was neutered the second he was hired.

McCarthy, as are most football coaches, are control freaks. McCarthy has been quoted more than once saying he would never not call plays again. In what world does this man just decide "ehhh, I 'll let Kellen Moore run and call the offense" ? ? ?

We only interviewed Mike McCarthy and Marvin Lewis for the job. Those were not the best head coaches available. They were the biggest names out there who would be thankful enough to have a job where they will tolerate the Jones meddling.

Too many here fell for it.

Again.

In all honesty why does Stephen Jones have a weekly radio spot???? No team in the NFL has the VP of operations that has a radio spot. Hell, prob no NFL team has a GM or owner that has a weekly radio spot. Enough already. The culture of this team has been broken for over 25 years now. Playing for the Cowboys is like a lap of luxury. Best practice facility, etc etc. They are always told how great they are. The media picks them every year to be great. Its exhausting. These players are so so soft and they have been for a long time because there is zero pressure on these guys. None. Who tells them that they suck or who tells them they make way too many mistakes. Who breaks them down? No one!!! Its all Rose's in Jerry world. He fools all of you all the time.. This team is broken. Their O line is SHOT. Zeke like it or not is on a downward spiral. Their defense is a total disgrace. A total travesty. Their D has been bad for soooooooo long. You can all say what u want and curse me out etc fine...... but I'm telling this team as a whole and as a culture is broken. It just is. Im not sure how they ever fix it. Week after week I have to read how the Cowbous should def beat this team. Ha why? Why? What has this team in the last decade or so has ever made u believe they are lock to win a game? That's the problem. The players are told how good they are and how they are favorites and they should win blah blah blah. This team is soooo overrated every year. I'm talking about what it takes to win a championship kind of overrated. Not individual talent. Individual talent does not win rings. This team is so so soft in the trenches. It's actually sad. Their secondary has been awful for almost 2 decades. We can go on and on. I'm not a hater never have been. I bleed for this team and have for over 40 years, but people need to wake up and realize this culture is just sooo wrong. We are doomed if they dont change it.

For all the hate SJ gets, I'll give him credit in being the one seeing thay Garrett was not the answer, and letting him leave this past off season. He can't say anything else here in week 4, but I fully expect him to not have as much leeway for these co-ordinators

I agree with him that he is "convicted". The jury of cowboy fans has convicted him and all of his co-defendants of incompetency.

I'm beginning to think not being able to admit to yourself that you were wrong and correct the issue but instead double down on stupidity is a serious character flaw.

Tone deaf and ignorant are the Jonesmen. Making money doesn't correlate to winning. Those arrogant jerks spend more time counting money than evaluating talent. I'd be okay with that of they weren't running football ops.
