I am a Dak fan. I felt sick all last night about his injury. But I am a Dallas Cowboy fan above all regarding this franchise. So I hope Dak heals and can come back and lead this team.

But today I am an Andy Dalton fan. So below is the status of this WR crew including tight ends.

What can Dallas expect from these players now that they have a change at quarterback?

And what is your opinion on how Dalton's mobility will affect the overall WR stats, considering Dallas is playing With a HOF in Martin, a sketchy lineman in Williams, and three rookies? Will he be taking more sacks that end drives?

AND can Cee Dee Lamb keep on pace with his Rookie of the Year season?

I am terrible with these chart things. Apologies.

  • Amari Cooper - Games 5, Rec 39, Yards 424, Avg 10.9, Long 58, TD 1, 1st Dwn 23, 1st% 58.97, 20+ 4, 40+ 1
  • Michael Gallup - Games 5, Rec 17, Yards 348, Avg 20.5, Long 52, TD 1, 1st Dwn 14, 1st% 82.35, 20+ 6, 40+ 2
  • Cee Dee Lamb - Games 5, Rec 29, Yards 433, Avg 14.0, Long 43, TD 2, 1st Dwn 20, 1st% 69.87, 20+ 9, 40+ 1
  • Cedrick Wilson - Games 5, Rec 12, Yards 163, Avg 13.6, Long 42, TD 2, 1st Dwn 9, 1st% 75, 20+ 2, 40+ 2
  • Noah Brown - Games 5, Rec 7, Yards 80, Avg 11.4, Long 20, TD 0, 1st Dwn 1, 1st% 14.29, 20+ 1, 40+ 0

  • Dalton Schultz - Games 5, Rec 19, Yards 225, Avg 11.8, Long 28, TD 2, 1stDwn 13, 1st% 68.42, 20+ 3, 40+ 0
  • Blake Bell - Games 5, Rec 5, Yards 71, Avg 14.2, Long 24, TD 0 1st Dwn 4, 1st % 80, 20+ 1, 40+ 0

Yes.

Is any single player better than our past HOFers? No...at least not yet.

But if we are counting the entire group.....no doubt in my mind.

The current stats don't mean a ton to me though---just like the 400-yard passing games didn't.
They have already faced the 3 worst pass defenses in the league through only 5 games, and have fallen behind by large margins forcing them to throw it all over the place.

But YES. Our top 3-4 WRs are ridiculous.
Any of our top 3 could be a #1 WR on many teams.

Dak and Andy have it made in that regard.

Yes....It used to be Cooper or bust. Now I feel good about it if any of the guys line up. Gallop is a dead stud. CeeDee? Really? Wilson and Brown playing lights out also. Well...at least when Dak was here.

I don't expect a huge drop in WR production. We'll probably be down most games if recent history stays current.
Dalton was a decent starter in this league and has 3 legit receivers to toss the rock to.
Don't think Moore will call too many 5-7 step passes due to our tackles being fairly green.
Seemed Dalton had no issue connecting with CDL the few times he did. On the same page

Probably... too bad it will just last this season

All three are under contract next year.

2022+, probably not.

I'm a huge Dak fan and if I hold anybody responsible for Dak's injury. It's the defense. Letting the worst offense in the league score 30 something on you. Really???? If Dak was ahead or not worried about having to score every play. Maybe Moore calls a different play there??? Way to go defense:facepalm: Pathetic!!

Football is a violent sport and as sad as it is injuries happen.

I don’t blame anyone for Daks injury and I too became a fan of Dalton yesterday

I do believe this receiving corps is the best Dallas has ever fielded potentially 1-5. Shultz has given me reason to feel good about TE position.

my fears before season started was the defense and that has been confirmed through first 4 games

not sure......Drew Pearson, Tony Hill, and Butch Johnson had an impressive 6-7 year run as the Boys WR trio. All were very good receivers. unfortunately we wont be able to keep a trio intact for that many years in today's free agency.

Imagine them playing today when they can't be touched by the defense.

Before Dak got hurt I think Cee Dee was becoming his Drew Pearson, Michael Irvin, Dez Bryant receiver. I think Cee Dee and Gallop would of sub planted Cooper as Dak's go to guys.... If only......
