This isn't the Giants who had a great defense, and got healthy in the stretch. This is the Cowboys. I hate to ruin the optimistic crowd here, but there's no Superbowl in this teams near future.

So now, what? What do we need to head in the right direction? Trades, off-season acquirement, cuts, and the like. What are your expectations moving forward, or are you still full of Jerry hype, and believe that we can still pull it off? Discuss.
Look up
We are in first place
It’s gonna be tough the way the D is playing but a little too early to give up to me

I believe the season was going down the tubes until Dak got injured. With Dalton stepping in, I do have curiosity about the next few games and how Dalton perform. The Jones family likes their players a lot, so I don’t expect that they will make any trades that would upgrade the team. The Jones think that they are just one or two players that needs to be added to the team to reach the Super Bowl. It is hard to get me excited after seeing how this will play out.
The defense was giving up 36 points a game with Dak. But now that thay clown is gone and the Red Rocket is in, it's going to turn into an iron curtain. 11-0, here we come!

The logic is impecable

And what has LVE done since his rookie year? Cheeto? Lee is good for a game or two. Gregory we have no idea about.

You make it sound like we have a bunch of Pro Bowlers coming back to save this pathetic defense.

Lee and LVE have been pro bowlers, and when gregory is actually on the field he has played at that level. Cheeto was a starting corner.

Not to mention it is a new defensive scheme and coordinator, and they had no preseason games. You don't think they will improve from just playing more, not to mention the people coming back?

If the defense takes it up one notch, and makes an extra stop or 2 and maybe a turnover, they could beat any playoff team with this offense.

The oline can improve, and they can make adjustments for a weak oline.

Not making any predictions, but no way the season is over
So, you're going to bet that we can improve enough to beat the best NFC teams? I understand any given Sunday mentality. I'm full of it. This team just barely beat the Giants. You guys can keep eating the blue pill. I prefer reality.

Winning the SB is always the goal for every team.

We haven’t had much future hope for decades. It’s all about the moment. 16 meaningful games a year is about all Jethro’s dysfunctional organization allows. A playoff game is gravy. That’s the franchise we’ve become . That is the bigger picture.
Thanks for making me sadder.

if we lose does he get the whole offensive line, defense, Moore, and the special team are bad excuses? oh and the running back is crap excuse.
will the losses be on him or the team?

depends on how he performs and how they perform.

You must have never watched him in cincy.

You must not have known Andy Dalton actually made the pro bowl....and if you couldn't tell how much more accurate he was than Dak...from last Sunday....hitting people in stride...then I guess that's on you for not knowing the difference.

They could have beat seatle if that PI call hadn't happened. Not to mention all the fumbles and bad special team plays, the failed fake punts, missed extra points, and a of couple interceptions. They beat atlanta.

If they improve a little on defense and special teams, yes i think they can beat anyone in the NFC east. What team scares you?

What makes you think it’s going to change.

False hope is a bigger pill to swallow every year than accepting reality and learning to cope with it.
I go in to every season excited. That's pretty natural if ya ask me. This one especially. Oh well. Back to seeing stars rather than wearing them.

Rams also barely beat the Giants. Raiders just beat the Chiefs. Seattle barely beat us.

it’s a strange league, an odd year, and we’ve got some horses.

Well the season isn't over yet, lots of football to play and perhaps as the team gets healthy we can play better....Super Bowl? This team does not remotely look like one that will compete, but to be perfectly honest neither do the 9ers, Hawks can be beat...and the Packers? I don't see it. Brees arm is done, Tampa is Tampa...who am I forgetting?

I’ll always support my cowboys but my expectations have been on a downtrend

i just wanna see that Jon Kitna like magic when he came off the bench for an injured Romo,
and we still 30 points a game -until Kitna unfortunately got hurt ,and we defintely went down sinking
with Stephen McGee a
(supposedly Romo version in Jones' eyes)

i'm not as truly optimistic when it comes to winning the SB - with major questions at defense and special teams,.. a backup QB and an average and beaten up OL. ..but if dalton can be kitna, our WR trio stays healthy, Kellen can be more creative
with the run game and usage of backs in the pass game and an average OL can stand up - i'm hoping we can

maybe at least we can have Jon Kita offensive fun like fun ..?:yourock:

I think they can lose to every team in the NFC, but I also think they can beat every team in the NFC.

They need to clean some stuff up, and they will look a lot better. Too early to give up on the season.

We’ll continue to beat the sub .500 teams, maybe an occasional win against a winning team, homers will get excited and we’ll be dispatched in the 1st or 2nd round of the playoffs.

We’ll then have a low draft pick and another off season full of hype only to get the same results next year.

Rinse and repeat.

I'd hate to be you.
