This isn't the Giants who had a great defense, and got healthy in the stretch. This is the Cowboys. I hate to ruin the optimistic crowd here, but there's no Superbowl in this teams near future.

So now, what? What do we need to head in the right direction? Trades, off-season acquirement, cuts, and the like. What are your expectations moving forward, or are you still full of Jerry hype, and believe that we can still pull it off? Discuss.

Francis Bernard played some LB last game, so the coaches are going to mix things up. LVE and Lee make the LB's better. Jaylon might not even be on the field all the time.

I bet Gregory improves the DL, and Cheeto was a starting corner and however they use him, he will help the CB's

What about Washington? Am I mistaken or did they not get a new HC, DC, and OC?

At least Dallas has the same OC.

So I can’t grasp why it would be harder on the Cowboys to have a new HC and DC compared to say the Giants or Washington who have new HC’s, new OC’s, new DC’s and rookie QB’s (or close to it)? Get out of your bubble dude, it’s almost as if you don’t watch any football outside of the Cowboys and you play the “poor me” card any chance you can.

Once you get into the playoffs anything can happen. The first step is getting there. I get it if you're mathematically eliminated but not when you're in first place in the division with over half the season left.

I will try one more time for you. The cowboys defense playing games together in "their new scheme" will improve the more they play. Having no preseason games gave them less time to get adjusted to the new scheme.

Regardless of any other team, more time played in a new scheme and getting players back from injuries will improve the defense.

And in our case we are in a horrid division where a losing record prob wins it. We could win it by default. Lol

When are we going to accept you can't just offense your way to a title?

The 2018 Chiefs gave up over 23 ppg. They lost the AFC title game 37-31.

The 2019 Chiefs gave up only 16 ppg. They won every playoff game, including the SB, by double digits.

Even the great Mahomes needs some support on the other side of the ball. Yet we've bashed Romo and Dak for not dragging some crap show defense to a title.

You were using the no pre season games as an excuse. It’s the same excuse every other team has.

Then you used “new scheme” as an excuse when 2 other teams in our division have the same excuse.

You have zero idea whether getting players back will help this defense or not. AGAIN, I heard the same thing about Griffen and Poe (automatic upgrades) and how did that work out?

We’ll continue to beat the sub .500 teams, maybe an occasional win against a winning team, homers will get excited and we’ll be dispatched in the 1st or 2nd round of the playoffs.

We’ll then have a low draft pick and another off season full of hype only to get the same results next year.
