I think I read something to the effect that the healthiest team this year would be the odds on favorite to win the division. That certainly isn't the Cowboys. This is the most injury riddled team in my memory. LT, RT, C, QB, TE, CB, LB...I'm probably forgetting some.

That said, if I was as pessimistic as some of you, I don't think I could watch the games. I expect to win this week...and every week. This is the week things start to fall in place and we gel. This is the week that we get a couple of turnovers and don't give any up. This is the week that kicks off a Superbowl run.

I know what the odds are. I know getting a squeaker by the Giants shouldn't be cause for hope. I don't care. The cardinals will be the next to fall. :)

This isn't the Giants who had a great defense, and got healthy in the stretch. This is the Cowboys. I hate to ruin the optimistic crowd here, but there's no Superbowl in this teams near future.

So now, what? What do we need to head in the right direction? Trades, off-season acquirement, cuts, and the like. What are your expectations moving forward, or are you still full of Jerry hype, and believe that we can still pull it off? Discuss.
I'm sorry.

What's the question again.?

I was busy polishing my MVP award (Most Valuable Poster Award) that I awarded myself.

Sorry.

No..this season is still alive.

We still have a chance..

McCarthy says it's an opportunity.

This year sucks completely but we could still win the division.

And given everything the team has endured..I would happily take 8-8 and get a shot at anything.

One thing is this team is completely reborn after Garrett left.

We have a lot of young players that need to help the vets fight thru the virus and the injuries and coaching changes.

There is still football ahead.

As fans we screamed for this.

So sit yourself down..

nachos and beers and friends front and center.

And for goodness sake..

get over the whining.

We are men here for the most part.

Not women and children.

We don't have time for this crap.

After the season ends and we get our Participation Trophy you can complain.

I believe the season was going down the tubes until Dak got injured. With Dalton stepping in, I do have curiosity about the next few games and how Dalton perform. The Jones family likes their players a lot, so I don’t expect that they will make any trades that would upgrade the team. The Jones think that they are just one or two players that needs to be added to the team to reach the Super Bowl. It is hard to get me excited after seeing how this will play out.
Every year just one or two players away, that's Jerry Jones football management.

When are we going to accept you can't just offense your way to a title?

The 2018 Chiefs gave up over 23 ppg. They lost the AFC title game 37-31.

The 2019 Chiefs gave up only 16 ppg. They won every playoff game, including the SB, by double digits.

Even the great Mahomes needs some support on the other side of the ball. Yet we've bashed Romo and Dak for not dragging some crap show defense to a title.
The real question is when is Jerry going to understand this, 25 years and he still doesn't seem to get it.

The defense was giving up 36 points a game with Dak. But now that thay clown is gone and the Red Rocket is in, it's going to turn into an iron curtain. 11-0, here we come!

The logic is impecable
The only hope that Dalton offers over a Dak is that maybe he will play the entire game instead waiting until the 4th quarter to start to play. Opposing offenses would not build up these huge leads if Dak would not turn the ball over and get some time consuming drives going early in the game. Maybe Dalton can keep games reasonably close instead of having the game being out of reach by halftime. It is wishful thinking with a bit of reasonable logic sprinkled in. As it stands, Dalton can’t do much worse than the direction that the team was going before the big injury took place.

We're in a bad situation because....

1. We need to lose and improve our draft pick...

But.. If we win the problem is Dallas is going to pay Dak and we will be stuck in mediocrity ville until his contract expires.

2. So we really need Dalton to open eyes and show management that this team doesn't need a 40 million dollar QB thats not an elite player.

I don't think I've seen anyone predict a Super Bowl. Just don't believe in giving up when you can get in the playoffs.
Reaching the playoffs and being one and done will accomplish very little other than insuring a weak draft position. The winner of the NFCE will be the weakest team in the playoffs out of both conferences.

I expect this team to keep fighting. I really do not care if some fans give up that is personal choice.

if you were Jerry or Stephen, this IDEA or FEELING and YOUR plan would have merit, Thank Goodness it DOES NOT...

your post is absolutely meaningless. Madden and FF mean nothing, absolutely nothing put down the controller because your insight is hollow..

Optimism in here not much including this one..so ill be the one to shut it down...

i hope you realize you are fan sitting somewhere in the internet making wholesale decsions for a NFL professional football team that has im betting about 100+ employees that have specific jobs to help them decide whats best for the team.you on that staff by chance? your last name Jones?

keep your feelings in check and the fact that you can tell the future is fantastic, im betting its not true because you would have earned a 100billion by now and bought your own team and make you own decsions..whats the name of your franchise? was it the defunct AFL XFL perhaps they also thought they could be better then the NFL, and also failed..

wait did you score 4tds in a HS football game, you Al Bundy? now you know everything?

so put your pants on wash your face with ice cold water and realize you are just a fan , you know nothing about whats best for this organization, stay in your lane..

another internet clown GM , your name Nostradamus? I believe we have about 100 fans in here that believe they run a professional Organization or could do it better..lmao

hope this splash of reality helps you get to your cubicle and get back to YOUR actual job..

This wasn't a SB team this season with Dak but now it is with Dalton? Gotta love the agenda boys, or maybe they're just football clueless.

This team's ceiling is winning the division, and only because the division is garbage. No NFC East team will advance in the playoffs this season.
I’d love to celebrate a Super Bowl win this year, or any year for that matter. But, in the year of Covid and social unrest, I’m ok with a winning the Division and maybe winning a home playoff game. I’ve been to all 3 home games which provided entertainment, excitement and a respite from reality. I have tickets to 3 more and hope they provide the same as those games. And hopefully a home playoff game. IMO, not winning the Super Bowl won’t mean I wasted time watching or going to the game.
