Erik Williams was as intense as anybody but I would put him into another category because intense is really is not descriptive enough for him.

EW played in a state if rage that scared his own teammates which has been described in detail by Darren Woodson.

True he did not just block he would beat the hell out of defensive ends. His matchups with Reggie White were epic

Oh look another "I demand everbody to be as miserable as me!" thread.

Thanks for letting us know.
Good lord. I'm sorry I hurt your feelings by expressing my opinions. The internet must be a scary place for you.

We're in the worst division in the league. The season is NOT over. We will most likely still be in 1st place at 2-4.
All that really matters is making the playoffs and playing your best football when the playoffs start. A few lucky breaks never hurts either

I have never understood the quit mentality especially early in a season. You can look to last season where Tenn got off to a 2-4 start but in the end they were battling KC in the AFC Championship game. I'm not suggesting that Dallas will be playing in the NFC Championship what I am suggesting is you will never know what could have happened when you just quit. I'm sure when sitting at 2-4 last year Tenn fans where not thinking AFC championship and likely many took the same mentality of trading players wanting the team to tank to get draft picks but instead their team kept fighting and put themselves in a situation to challenge for the SB. All I ask of this team right now is keep working and keep fighting.
A fair response. Though I'm just jaded, and tired of the embarrassment. I live in WA, and am surrounded by Seahawks fans. They've been having a field day with me. :muttley:.

they brought in a failure from another team , im sure fans were still thinking RT was not the answer..they were wrong like these fans here constantly questioning moves before the full season is played.. we dont need just TN as an example we were 3-5 as were the colts in 2018 and both made the playoffs that year.. it can be turned around..will it who knows thats why judgments should be made after 16games not 4..heck these fans wanted coaches fried and heads rolled after game 1 lmao.
If i saw any help coming for the defense that could get them to average, then sure I could have some hope. But I just don't see that unit improving enough to matter in the overall picture.

Agreed! And we knew that before the season started. Only two first year head coaches have ever won the Super Bowl. Don McCafferty with the Colts and George Seifert with the 49ers.
Anybody who expected a Super Bowl fooled themselves.

This team desperately needs a reset game. They need a game they control from start to finish to build some confidence. So far every game has been an emotional uphill battle. They get down, they come back only to fall in a hole (again). This team seems to be nice guys while they are getting mugged by people who want to stomp their throats.
Bingo! I have lost confidence in them. Playing that awful against the Giants.

I lived through 1989 and the 44-0 drubbing in 86 by the Bears. This season is very good in comparison.]

I lived through the St Louis Cardinals 1970 loss of 38-0! The Pokes couldn't do anything that game. Staubach threw for 50 yard, Morton threw for 115, Hill ran for 21.......watched every play.
The Cowboys fell to 5-4 with that loss.

But at the end of the regular season they had climbed to 10-4, won the division, squeezed by Detroit 5-0 in division play, 17-10 winners over the 49ers to win the conference.
We ended that season as Super Bowl losers, losing to the Colts of Baltimore 16-13.

It was the season nobody expected and couldn't have been predicted.

That is tough, I live in Houston and no one is saying much given their season thus far. I can't say how the season will play out all I know is if you quit then there is 0 chance. I would rather guys stand together and keep fighting than to lay down.

i agree to be honist! it isnt even dak getting hurt because i think dalton is good enough to win this divison with the weapons on offense...it is the defense. i dont know how any one could watch this team and think the defense is magicly going to turn into any thing. this core had their chance and jerry wasted it on jason garrett. they need a complete re build with a young coach who has a vision. should have been matt rhule but oh well!

They were a 2-4 team and playing poorly. Again I don't accept quitting, I can deal with a loss I don't like quitters. I have no doubt we have some fans who will quit and likely that is not just as a sports fan but in other areas anytime they face adversity, I don't and have never believed in quitting or giving up. I don't know what the end result will be by fighting but I do know the end result of quitting

I would argue they were a team that needed the QB to keep drives alive and let the rest of the team get involved\rolling.

As for quitting, I get it. My mentality has always been to fight. However, as you get older you get a better idea of what wars you can win and which you can't. For me there isn't anything that points to the defense being anything better than bad. So, the "War" as in being a championship contender is already lost. The offense can go out & continue to put up monster stats and maybe carry the defense to a few wins. But it gets you nothing in the big picture. If their fate is mediocrity (at best) its in the best long term interest to not fight it and improve your draft capital as much as possible.

I don't think they magically will become a great defense, what I'm counting on is they become a better defense than they have shown thus far. If they can start playing decent on defense then it is a big help to our chances. Granted if they just continue playing as is then it would be hard for any offense to carry that load.

You can argue that all you want but it remains that they hung in there after going 2-4 and were not looking good. Dallas issue are not on offense we can put up points what some of us hope for is to see defense making progress and playing to a higher level than they are right now. Fact remains what looked to be a disaster of a season did not stay that way because they continued to go out and play hard and never quit. So when people start hollering lets trade this guy off or that guy because the season is over after 5 weeks, sorry I will not join that mindset.

They changed QB's while the rest of the team remained the same and the result was 7-3 record and AFC championship game appearance in 2019. Off to 4-0 start this season. I'm not sure how anyone can look at that and chalk it up to a change in team effort. Its the difference in play at the most important position. Let's give Tannehill his due credit for his play and the Titan coaches the credit they deserve for making the change.

I'm not discrediting Tannehill I'm saying at no point did they quit and I'm sure the feed back they were getting was not positive but they kept working and playing and I expect that from this team, regardless of some fans hollering for them to tank the season for a unknown draft pick. Fans have the right to quit that is up to them makes me no difference but I do not expect a team to quit and when they do it shows the true character of that team and those players.

On top of that Dallas started 3-5 two years ago and then went 7-1 in the second half.

Titans fan at my job last year was already trying to figure out how to get either Burrow or Herbert.

I get it, it is frustrating especially for fans because we have no say in any of this so we come to places like this to vent. As for me it is just they way I was brought up, I have never say die, I never quit even when it comes to things outside of my control like the Cowboys. This season may not get any better I don't know, I hope it does but the only way it can is if these players and coaches keep putting in the time and effort to get things turned around. As I said many times here I'm not expecting them to turn into the 85 bears but I am expecting them to perform better than they have.
