What the hell are you talking about......damn, back off with the personal crap

BWT.....if you took the time to read your post guess who's speculating?

Most here know I'm not one to get personal but for rather than discussing the content, as in football, you make it persona SPECULATING on what you THINK I'm thinking when the truth is you don't damn about me, or any other poster but that's your MO and that's fine, just stay out my lane.

Don't let it bother you. He has some weird mental tick where he takes great personal offense at any mention of rumors.

remember teams can carry over space from this year to next as of now phili has almost 20 mil to carry over which will help a bit.
They have 17M to possibly carry over if they make no moves.
In all likelihood they'll use 3-5M of that this year and carry over a bit less than 15M.
They owe 62M and already ran restructures for virtually everyone.
Their effective cap space for next year is at -73M.
So remove 15 from 73 and that is really what they need to free up. 58M.
Can they free up that much?
Sure. But not in any way they'd really want to.
You with base to bonus flip a lot of guys and some of them underperforming.
You may cut a guy like DeSean Jackson and just too expensive a luxury.
End of day the Eagles will badly need to hit on the draft class in each of the next couple seasons to avoid a re-build.

Cap space is not imaginary but is very levered.
The issue for PHI is they have already used those levers
I warned against this 3 years ago btw.

DAL and WAS saw this same issue bite them a decade ago.
Flex spending out to future cap hits and then something crazy happens and you already spent the emergency money.
It's like someone using all their savings for a big vacation to escape the winter but the roof collapses while they are gone.

As far as Dallas is concerned, Houston simply does not have any players that could help defensively and are not overpriced. Dallas needs to look into OL and and defensive players of they hope to improve the team.

Nothing will help the Eagles get beyond a division title, but at least the GM cares. Meanwhile, our GM can't wait to wave the white flag (adjust expectations).

Let them. Only weakens their future to make a bad team more average now
That depends. Let’s say you trade away a 5,6, and 7 draft picks for players you plan to keep. In theory, you could get cheap labor with those picks. On the other hand, the hit rate for late round picks is not very good. So you might get nothing out of those picks in the draft.

On the other hand, you pretty much know what you are getting out of the veteran. You just don’t want to piss off those picks on a one year rental, or get really expensive players with those picks who will require a big contract, unless you were planning on going after that player in free agency anyway and hoping to get in front of another team who also wants that player too.

It would be good for us if they moved draft picks for older Players. They are just an average team. I think they should win the division but just like if Dallas does they are going nowhere.

Average? They wish they were average. They are downright terrible.

They always structure things so the cap never seems to cause them much pain. They dump bad contracts every year and find ways to do whatever they think will help. The good news is they are hitched to Wentz for now and that will set their top end at a fairly low level.
Hurts will be taking over sooner rather than later. The Wentz experiment is almost over.

I love Amari but I’d be down for that. He seems to have some durability issues and we need defensive help in a bad way.
Amari’s cap hit prevents that from being a realistic scenario at this point in time.

Unless they fix the QB play issue they aren't winning even a bad division much less a home playoff game versus a likely far superior team.

Games in the next 7 weeks include BAL, SEA, CLE. GB.
They already tied a division game with a bad WAS football team.

PHI 2020 issue is highlighted by 3 things:
1. Bad QB play right now but a guy who has a high ceiling but has some really low lows.
2. Aging, vet roster that is underperforming and expensive facing a massive cap reduction the credit card cap mgmt style didn't account for.
3. The schedule this year is just far more rough on them than DAL.

PHI could see better Wentz play and turn that into a division winner but without that adding a couple pieces via trade likely don't mean much.
They lost to Washington and tied Cinn

Why on earth would the Eagles be buyers? They need to be sellers they are not a good team at all. They have a quarterback issue.

Did we hear that they were going to be making a big announcement a few weeks back and nothing happened?

Yea I’m gonna say highly unlikely.
Yeah this offseason they were one of the many teams who were suppose to do something big....but nothing happened. I think it might've been the signing of Jason Peters......
