We are just repeating what happened with Garrett. Many just blamed the players over and over but at the end of the day, while we had player issues, the coaches weren't all that good either.

McCarthy has burned through a lot of goodwill here but I don't have an issue with keeping him and staying on that course. Dak getting hurt really threw a wrench into this and I wonder if it would have been better for McCarthy to bring in his own OC. But then again, he brought in Nolan, which was a mistake, so it's possible he could have brought a boob in a OC too.

I don't have much of an issue with much of the staff right now. But Nolan has got to go, if not now, then in the offseason. He was the worst hire by far on the staff and he should not be anywhere near a defensive overhaul, which is something we desperately need. We will regret letting him mess up this defense beyond this season. I also wonder about Al Harris, as DBs coach.
Isn’t Leon Lett the D-Line coach. I would think about getting rid of nolan during bye week. Start benching players that aren’t playing. I have watched Griffen just stand there and stop on plays he could have pressured the QB. If MM don’t get some type of handle in this then it’s gonna get away from him. Unless they pick up and really good DC and let Moore keep running Offense.

Well, guess what.....Rod D finished top 15 in scoring almost every season he was here. Yea, his D gave up a lot of yards and couldn't get turnovers but teams did not score a lot of points.

Agree, but most wanted him gone and now look at this mess.

I will give this staff another year with a full regular off season. This is such an odd crappy year all around.
I do not like what I see in Nolan, but face it. He too will get a pass on the season.

With 10 starters on IR. No real off-season, it is a mess. It is like the 2015 season. Makes it a very long season. This team is not as void in talent as many on here say.
It basically will be whining and complaining on here for the next year. As it is probably 50% higher than usual. Ever notice when they are losing, how many newbies join, and whine from the start.

I get it, and don't blame fans. But it is the same thing, and usually hate for the same players for really no reason. Just to jump on the wagon I guess. Misery loves company.
I will let out my complaints and concerns at times. But I am not giving up either.

Remember when everyone thought, ok, this is our year, in 2010, and Wade ends up 1-7, as the players just seemed to quit on him. They had no reason to, but they played horrible.
When Garrett took over, they went 5-3 for him, it was like a complete different team, same players.
I will give them next year, and see what happens. Why? Because we can't do a dang thing about it. I will use my energy on something else, not whining and hating with every post.

Really is a shame Jerry managed to run off another Hall of Fame coach, all so we could go from Wade Phillips to Jason Garrett to this mess.

Parcells quit on the team. It was not Jerry.
Jimmy wanted to leave, and pushed the right buttons to get Jerry to fire him.

You honestly think he just quit on a whim? He quit because he didn't have any faith in the Joneses to run a winning organization. He even said something to the effect of "In three years it will be like I was never here."

Just shuffling chairs on the titanic...and w’ere all going down with Jerry. Except he’s going down wealthy, drunk and happy while the rest of us slowly drown in misery.

Speak for yourself. I'm drunk and happy.

The players don’t like nolan and or MM. they are used to running the team. They gave up on JG. We thought it was JUST the HC. But it was players. And more important it’s the so called leaders. They got paid and like the comfy atmosphere. When a new HC or staff comes in and wants to teach or do something they don’t want to do this is how they respond. This is a GM/Owner problem. Maybe the DC and some players need to go.
Sounds like kids and parenting issues today, kids want to run the house and run off to social media when the parents do their job

I’ll say it again..leaving Kellen Moore on staff was a signal to the players that the Jones family still was the one running things so they are just using this to throw blame knowing they’ve gotten away with it. I’d rather blow it up and see scrubs working there tail off line 1989 than this team of prima donnas.

Yet Jerry is not interfering with McCarthy or calling for Nolan head. Fans clearly are Nolan gone yet Jerry has kept his hands off.

It's both and has been. The culture in Dallas has created an attitude amongst the players that it's all about getting paid. Make some plays in your first couple of seasons and you will be paid like you are among the best at your position. Concerning yourself about you first and getting that 2nd contract is universal in Dallas and put far above winning and success as a team. You can see and feel it in everything the players say and do. The blame for this goes squarely to Jerry. He has an open door with the players and wants to be their friends. He talks way to much and defends them at all costs. His biggest fault has been that he has rarely let any player go that once made a good play or had a good game. Instead he has overpaid almost everyone even though time and time again, they never again play as well once paid. there have been a few exceptions but 80-90% of the players who have been paid well in Dallas have quickly regressed. Jerry's other main fault is not recognizing this and not hiring a coach capable of correcting it because let's face it, correcting it means freezing Jones out on all things related to the players which Jones won't allow. This is a never ending cycle and will not change as long as Jerry is alive. Maybe Stephen will be different when he takes over but who knows. I have said it for years and will repeat it here. Free agency and the draft mean nothing in Dallas under these circumstances. It doesn't matter which players come to Dallas, the culture may allow them some amount of individual success which leads to them being paid, but it will never allow them team success and championships. That died when Jimmy was fired. Yes, they won one more after that but those players were Jimmy's guys and they had not been corrupted yet.
