Agreed. I never really supported pure hating on dak, but now the other side only adds fuel to the fire with the "told you so" posts.

I dont even remember the carter/Hutchinson debates being this bad.

Facts are we didn't win with dak, and have been even worse without him. People are more concerned with their guy getting credit. Much bigger issues than the qb position right now.

I don't know if that's true. I openly admit that I posted this just to rub the noses of the "Dalton is better than Dak" crowd in it a little bit. But they deserve it. There is damn near zero doubt in my mind that Dak wins both of these last two games. Because with him at the helm this offense might put 30 up on the 85 Bears. They been ballin. I think they would have run the Giants out of the stadium in the second half and blown the doors off the Cardinals.. I think it might have been a little tougher sledding today with all the youngsters on the o-line but I think Dak puts 27 on the board even today. He's shown that he is in fact THAT much better than Dalton. Or more accurately, Dalton has showed he's that much worse.

Yeah, take another cheap shot at Andy Dalton; go right ahead.
Now the Cowboys players showed without a doubt how much they've been supporting him. They didn't show any concern whatsoever when a cheap shot knocked him out.
It would seem as if some players real agenda was to make sure nothing interfered with Dak getting a long-term extension, and they were willing to tank it to make sure Dalton didn't have success.
It is classless, and seems to point out far bigger issues within the organization- as well as the league.
The Cowboys team is in shambles, mostly because the players seem to have "more important" issues on their minds besides playing football.
No one cares what you think. You blasted Dak Prescott as the primary reason we lose after having games where he’d thrown an interception or would have a sack-fumble while throwing for 450 yards and multiple touchdowns while running for his life behind a makeshift reshuffled OL.

Don’t come in here trying to provide shade for Dalton. You didn’t think Dak deserved it so why should your completely opposite opinion when it comes to Dalton mean anything at all?

LMAO!! Dalton laid a steamin turd for three quarters and it's OTHER guys' fault? Come on man.. even you don't believe that. Now it's some bro-mance conspiracy by the other players to get Dak his deal? So guys are out there playing like dawg-poo jeapordizing their own long-term earnings so Dak can get paid? This is beneath even the most staunch Dak-hater. I can't believe you even took the time to type that nonsense.

Come on now...With Dak playing these are closer games, no doubt in my mind, but this team is extremely bad. We got blown out by the Cardinals and Washington in games where they both could have put more points up if they needed to. Both teams took their foot off the gas in the ends of those games. I'm not sure this team wins today even with Maholmes at QB.

This team looks twice as bad without Dak, but they weren't winning games with him either.

They were winning against teams of this caliber at least. You will never convince me that he would not have put near 30 (or more) on the board against both the Cards and Washington. The other aspect of having a trigger man who moves the team is that you cut down on the opportunities for the other team to slice up our terrible defense. And you cash in on some of those red zone trips that Dalton has been turning into turnovers and FGs. The numbers don't lie.. With Dak this team was averaging like 33 ppg. With Dalton it's down to 6.5 ppg. A friggin 27 point swing!!! The difference in the last two games has been on offense not defense. The defense has just kept doin what they do.. which is stinking out loud.. Only now without Dak the offense has joined in.[/QUOTE]

As far as throwing in the little I’ve seen from dalton I could say he has a better throwing arm. Dak adds another dimension with his legs but that proved to be short lived. A young high draft pick QB that will be cheap so we can fix this defense would be smart. Let dak walk and get his money somewhere else.

Dude this thread is literally about you. You don’t create a massive gaping hole at QB to fix anything.

Okay Dalton wasn't better than Dak like I said he would be but just plug some fresh faced college kid in there and that'll do the trick.. You know because college superstar QBs NEVER turn into busts in the pros.. I don't even know how there's an argument to be made that any good college QB should be able to come in an do exactly what Dak was doing.. ... (yes this is dripping with sarcasm)

Yeah, and I bet you'd be one of the guys who walked off the field and didn't care that Dalton got cheap shotted.
But if it was Dak you'd be screaming for Bostic to be banned from the NFL.

The expectations for Dalton were not high, he just needed to be solid to fill in for Dak.

The easy response for this thread is Dalton is not the future backup QB for the Boys.

Now with DiNucci in there, can he be the future backup QB. Well that will be answered in the next few games.

There were some who were ready to declare him the future of the Cowboys (short term) because he made a few good throws for less than half of a game against the Giants. Even those who insisted that Dalton was going to help the Cowboys move on from Dak and that Dak's supporters needed to accept the fact that this was Dalton's team now.

Exactly. The risk factor alone isn’t worth jettisoning a pro bowl qb like Dak just so you can throw money at your defense.

Yeah welcome to 2015. Actually that's an insult to that team so I take that back. Those guys fought their butts off every game.. Not seeing a lot that from this bunch. This team may not get within double digits of another opponent all year. Hell watching our defense tackle makes me wanna see if I can sign with the Giants in time to play against it that last weekend. I think I could go for 120 and a TD against this bunch.. and I'm 60 years old.

Yeah, the 2015 team just wasn't good. They fought, but they were not equipped. This season's Cowboys are a reason I wish relegation was a thing in the NFL. I hate saying this about my favourite team, but the Cowboys do NOT belong in the NFL next season if we continue to just show up and do nothing. We'd be on the first train to the second tier league with how this team won't even put up a fight.

No. No one was happy about the cheap shot Dalton took.

More to the point, it’s IRRELEVANT to your defense of Dalton when he has played like crap for two straight weeks and we’ve scored a total of 13 points considering Dak could throw for 500 yards, multiple TDs and drop 35 on the board but have a sack fumble and YOU WOULD BLAME HIM FOR THE LOSS.

Give it a rest. You’re the king of the Dak haters. All of you have been exposed and hardly anyone cares what you think accordingly.

Full disclosure.. I got so disgusted that I stopped watching long before Dalton got rung up. But having played and coached a large part of my life I assure you that I am never going to be cheering anybody getting hurt. Well maybe Conrad Dobler but you probably aint old enough remember what a dirty sum***** he was. When I heard that DiNucci got into the game I figured the coaches took Dalton out to save his life. In retrospect maybe they should have.

Everybody who trotted out that narrative needs to lose their posting privileges for two weeks. Dalton is getting worse as time wears on not better. He was good against the Giants, terrible against the Cardinals and just plain pathetic against the Football Team. At this rate he'll need to pay the Cowboys for the right to play. I was hopeful that he would get it together as time wore on but clearly this dude is washed. May as well start the kid the rest of the way. He can't be any worse than what we're seeing out of Dalton. I cannot think of a single reason to watch this team the rest of this season.. and this comes from a guy who hasn't missed a game in 30 years. I might watch one more game.. just to see if MAYBE Sean Lee and Chido can add something to this dumpster fire of a defense.. But since neither of them plays d-line, I doubt they can provide much. At least not in the area of most need.

Sigh!
