That's your opinion based on your belief that Dak is not a good QB. But you need to focus on the real problem, the overpaid, underperforming players of defense. The reason for our current problems is that Jerry and company refuse to admit their mistakes in paying Lawrence, Jaylon and Crawford and keeping Gregory and Lee around. He also doesn't want to admit that Chido and Lewis are busts and that Woods is far from being an NFL caliber player. None of this has nothing to do with Dak.

The Cowboys have been lucky to have found their star QB's in other than a top 5 pick in the draft. They have never picked a QB in the top of the draft, (other than Aikman), ever. What makes you think they will this time? If it came to that, I guarantee you they would pick the wrong one.

Problem is a lot of these guys were just recently locked down.

I like Jesse but that statement makes no sense. No team in this NFL era plans for a 4 year rebuild. No credible source within the organization who is making real decisions would make such a statement.

Agreed and no "source" would state that as they know a 4 year rebuild means they are removed from the org.
So the source isn't a current player, current coach or current front office guy which means they aren't a source but a fan.

While there does need to be a significant overhaul, this isn’t the nba where it takes 4-5 years to rebuild. The nfl allows much more flexibility in terms of getting a good program back from the dead much quicker. Much of this going forward really relies on dak.
If dak is 85-90% at least of what he was before then that’s half the battle.

if he comes back and looks like a shell of his former self - then it could be 4- 5 years but honestly way too early to just say we are 4 years away.

However, I want to make sure that everyone notices that he says nothing about Tyrone Crawford, a guy who's being paid nearly 3 times as much money as Poe, and has done less than nothing this year or last year. His numbers are actually worse than Poe's!

Why is it that nobody covering the Cowboys will even mention the guy's name at this point?
