Would Cowboys trade Amari Cooper?

I would do it for a 1st, not for a 2nd. But maybe for Quinnen Williams if the Jets actually wanted to do that?
I think Cooper may be more of a fit on a team ready to win now. Put them over the top.

He is capable. Maybe someone does offer up what they know will be a late one.

Stranger things have happened but my gut tells me Amari Cooper is a Cowboy after the deadline.

Cooper was a winner at Alabama, so you're saying he's now a loser is baffling. Better leadership from Cowboy's ownership down to Cooper's teammates would showcase Cooper's talent.
He was on the sidelines on the biggest play of the year in Philly last season. He's a beta, talented but a beta.

Lol you passed on the three TEs during Wittens prime. Could've went there. Gregory too.

Oh I known the list goes on and on and on.

Really you’re right. Until the cowboys start hitting on 2nd’s more often. They ain’t gonna win a title.

Exactly. These guys get caught up in this whole "beta vs alpha" approach. Because Cooper is quiet doesn't mean he's a "loser". Hell if anything Cowboys made him one.
What? He came to Dallas with that reputation from the Raiders. Look at how they've done since he left.

I would bet on him staying put as well.

I can't think of too many teams in contention that have the cap space or need to make a deal like that.

The jets are possibly the only team I would trade a 1st for Cooper for, and the probability of that happening is 0. No way they are giving up a top 3 pick

They may if they plan on keeping Cooper for the length of the contract.

any team that trades for him owns his right for 4 more seasons after this one
I guess anything is theoretically possible...
That is the most expensive contract in the NFL at WR.
No team is eating that and giving up high draft pick comp.
DAL would have to eat a portion of the GTD remaining and likely 15-20M of it.
He essentially has 40M GTD AFTER this year.

The last mega contract to get traded at WR was OBJ and he's been a complete bust after being the top WR in the entire league.
Cooper has never hit that peak generally ranking in that 8 to 12 area.
CLE took on 4 years at 62M in that deal. Some team would take on 80M over 4 years in this one as is.

Yep. Meanwhile no team has 4 WR like they do.

Not sure that adds up. Hard to say cant deal from strength because we will mess up the pick anyway.

Or is it yet someone else? Exactly who is in charge of pro scouting at this point?
And it very well could be. I mean to add that in my post too. It very well could be some guys we don't know or hear about. Who's the guy who use to give Jerry advice was it Larry Lacewell? Who's his buddy he listens to now?
I just can't see a team willing to give up a first. I've seen the Packers mentioned, but they have only 3 mil in cap space for 2021 as is, per OTC.

Ravens could afford him. So maybe that's a team to look at. But are they desperate enough to ship a 1st?
I'm not sure if the Ravens lack receivers or if their offense just doesn't require it. They have Snead and Hollywood Brown. Not saying Cooper aren't better but they should probably try to get those guys involve before bringing in another one.

I'd demand more for my #1 receiver.
You can demand all you want, doesn't mean you'll get it. It's like the people who think we'll get a #1 for Gallup, not happening but you can ask.

Amari hasn't been showcased in weeks and he's got a foot problem that I'm sure the rest of the league is aware about.

What have they done? They've sucked lol. Mind you his departure coincided with Khalil Mack leaving as well but let me guess he's a "beta" too huh?

Where’s the evidence that he has a “poor reputation around the league?”

NFL teams don’t like guys who are in the convo for top 5 receivers in the league?

And the team thought he “didn’t play tough last season” yet signed him to a massive contract extension? That doesn’t make much sense.

The only one I would move is Zeke, Dalton & Tyron Smith. All else stays. Zeke would be tough though.

They have an entire team to build.

WR isnt really the place to start.

Not sure what you mean. You wouldnt trade Cooper to anyone but the Jets?

Last I heard, Judd Garrett was involved. I don't know who it is now.

I wouldn't think that the Ravens would have the cap space to afford to pay Cooper?
