They should trade back to a team looking to trade up for a QB and get a ransom
The only pick that will generate a ransom will be the #1 pick Trevor Lawrence. Sadly looks like the Jets will be getting that pick as it stands now.

Easiest plan you could ever have.
It will depend on two scenarios
1. If your top 3 in the draft look at the Dolpins who really need Olineman. Or the Jags who really need a QB.

If you are top ten
Try and stay in the top 15 while nabbing a 2nd and 3rd rounder.

Mayfield OT Michigan in the 2nd round would be a solid choice aswell as Brown OG Bama in the 2nd round. Nabbing both would lock down your Oline for years. And make Smith and Conner Williams tradeable.
Teams like the Bengals would jump all over either or of those guys and you can gain more picks.

You gave me two offensive players. Don't care the names. In case you didn't notice, we need defense.
the only defensive guys i'd consider at #5 are the bama CB or the miami DE.
with Tyron's injury history and whatever the hell is going on with La'el Collins...it'd be stupid not to take a hard look at one of those 2 OTs.
im not forcing the pick at 5...you take the best player available.

No, not with a top 5 pick. All the players are studs. You take the BDPA. You don't force any picks in the top 5. If someone wants to trade up, entertain that. But under no circumstances do you take an offensive player unless you are taking one of the top 2 QB's and your trading Dak.

Come on OT PENEI SEWELL, OREGON. Sewell graded out better as a 19-year-old last year than guys like Tristan Wirfs and Jedrick Wills Jr., who are dominating already in the NFL.

not if Sewell is on the board.
you turn that card in and go on with your day.
i sign Dak...draft my future LTackle if Collins isn't ready and Tyron is...you move Sewell to right.
im not gonna force the pick for defense if Sewell is BPA.
and OT is a need.

No forcing a pick in the top 5.

Collins is fine and Smith has 2 or 3 years left. It would be as dumb as drafting another RB or WR.

no...it would not.
it would be smart considering recent injury history.
we need to address life w/out Tyron Smith now...not later.
considering Dak...for the most part...stays healthy...we won't be drafting this high again.
you ain't getting Tyron's replacement at the bottom.
if Sewell is there at 5,6 or 7...you take him and move on to Rd2.

Martin can move out to LT and be an all pro. Not worried about tackle at all.

FYI...…..Micah Parsons would be a guy I would be very happy to see them draft.
