Yeah, he wasn't NFL ready. What a shock he had after being so well protected at JMU.
Speaking of ready or not, Andy Dalton is on the Reserve Covid list, but has anyone confirmed that he actually has Covid?
Garrett Gilbert may have only a few passes in the NFL as a journeyman, but he put up some impressive numbers in the AAF.
He's worth a look.

I do not think Andy has COVID. I think it is just with the concussion, they are allowed to use that list, as opposed to putting him on the 3 week IR.

Kid should have never been in a game this year. The fan base who believed this poor kid was better then Dalton or (insert backup QB here) should be ashamed of themselves. There is a reason Parcells sat Romo for as long as he did. It's not fair to these young guys to do this to them. But hey, it is what it is I suppose.

Actually, seasons like this are kinda fun to watch. Its part of the process......oh, crap! I just had a Garrett moment! I'm gonna throw up......

No no.....sucking IS the process. Garret just proved you can suck for a decade, become wealthy in the process, and still land a cush job. Its the modern American dream.

Okay, didn't know that. Thanks.
I wonder if he has alienated himself in the locker room after that Washington sideline rant, which was fierce but not unexpected. Seems like there's more to the story. I haven't seen an outpouring of support from other players.

They did not bench Dak after he led the offense to score 9 against Philly last year with a better oline and a playoff spot on the line.

Perhaps because they had watched Dak not be able to throw all week because of the banged up shoulder and they went into that game hoping the rest did the trick.. It didn't and we all saw how much Dak struggled to put anything on his throws that day. In reality they probably should have taken him out of that game after the first couple of series.. but maybe they were hoping he would eventually warm up. Not bloody likely in 30 degree weather in Philly in later December but hope springs eternal. What leaving him in really said was that Cooper Rush was probably on par with this year's Nooch in terms of the coaching staff's confidence in him.

Far be it from me to defend the circus that is the Dallas Cowboys, but anyone who couldn't see that Dinucci is nowhere close to being ready to play in the NFL is blind.

Then the coaching staff is blind! They had MONTHS to discover this fact.

Sometimes I wonder if this Franchise actually understands how to develop young QBs, which is ironic considering we have a relatively young QB now, who many see as a Cowboy Developed QB. Truth is, Dak was unique in that he was much more ready to come in and handle starting, then most young rookies are and he had a much, much better supporting cast for him to work with. But the Cowboys actually didn't really do a lot of developing with Dak before he became the starter. Cowboys were kinda lucky there IMO. I'm not sure we are real good at developing QBs and we definitely don't have the kind of situation, on this team now, that Dak enjoyed in his rookie year.

I'll confess to feeling kinda sorry for Ben DiNucci.

As if it wasn't bad enough being humiliated on nationwide TV . . .
After suffering that indignity, Jerry later proceeded to diss him over the radio.:omg:

I wouldnt let DiNucci start either......

hes a rookie, no preseason snaps....and his accuracy needs alot of work he seriously couldve had 3 picks against philly, his pocket presence isnt there , the line is patchwork, hes really Raw in all aspects

Without mincing words, DiNucci is painful to watch and they still have a product to put on the field for half a season.

Jerry doesn't pay these 3 big play receivers so they can do cardio on Sundays.
