2021 secondary :

CB1: Caleb Farley, 2021 1st round pick
CB2: Diggs
CB3: Robinson (you pick which one)
CB4: Maurice Canady
S1: Justin Simmons, Free Agent (find a way!)
S2: Wilson
S3: Bubba Bolden, 2021 3rd round pick

I left off Anthony Brown because he stinks out loud. I realize he will be back because this FO wants him to be successful.

I thought you put Budda Baker as Safety 3 :lmao:

I want to see how many players blast Dalvin Cook like that. There was at least one play where he stood up Dalvin Cook in the hole as well.

Quick comment on the helmet to helmet aspect; when a player is going down they rarely call that unless you lead with the crown of your helmet, which he didn't. It was pretty clear he was looking to put his helmet into Cousins body, but he got there a second late it got his helmet instead. Good no call.

He created TWO turnovers. Strip sack and recovered in the first quarter that led to a TD. Then popped a receiver and caused a fumble at the end of of the first half. The Vikings were almost certainly going to at least kick a FG and instead we get it back and kick a FG. We don’t win the game without those two turnovers.
Donovan Wilson is a baller.
Always liked him since 3 picks in preseason.

And I am perfectly OK with all of that. Sometimes the situation just sucks and their makeup calls don't really fix what they screwed up.

I just think the refs shouldn't be allowed to make game changing mistakes without it effecting them personally somehow. You make a team lose - you should get suspended for a game. You knock a team out of the playoffs - you're barred from officiating playoffs for 3 years, etc.
Couldn’t agree more

I’ve said several times I HATE the officiating. It’s inconsistent from crew to crew and play to play. I’ve seen them decide the outcome of too many games, not even talking about ours. Hochuli and the Chargers missing the playoffs come to mind, NO missing the NFC championship comes to mind...not to mention the literally hundreds of games that have ultimately affected teams making the playoffs which effects peoples jobs and their future.

I can’t stand the contract, no regulations, no accountability...a bunch of geriatrics running around out of breath trying to keep up with prime athletes. They can’t see 5 feet in front of them, let alone 5 yards.

But I don’t believe for a second there’s some kind of coordinated bias against the Cowboys. If you watch any NFL game you can cherry pick calls that are clearly ba and blame the refs, every teams fan base does it but I think the Cowboys fans are the worst. We get good calls and bad calls, take your medicine and man up. None of the “you’s” were directed at you personally.

Wilson was all over the place, not perfect but he was playing like a madman. Trying to take advantage of his opportunities. In the first half, he earned a starting slot, got burned a little in the second half but he didn't stop playing hard.
Not like 75% woods over there lol you’re right he played very hard. Maybe McCarthy smartened up over the bye.

Want to say Wilson screwed up pretty bad in coverage too bomb to Thielen. I know he's not great at coverage.

Refs didn't see nuthin' here, lol.

Yeah, he should have been called for the personal foul since he hit Cousins in the helmet. We definitely benefited more from the officiating than the Vikings did in this game. I thought the defenseless receiver call on the hit on Lamb could have not been called.

Landry once said bad calls have a way of evening themselves out during the course of a game. I agree.

He had one good game, bravo. Let's see if he can keep putting performances like that on tape.

Yeah..

Cousins looked like one of those bobble head dash dolls.

Glad the refs missed it.

Fine city.
It will be money well spent.
That’s just how Donnie plays, all out. It got him ejected from so many games in college he fell to us in the 6th round. However, I don’t think Donnie is a dirty player. He is an aggressive player and a couple of those hits will draw a flag or a fine. I wouldn’t want him to change though. Those two super aggressive tackles ultimately changed the outcome of the game and I’ll take it every time. The rules have changed to try to protect the players and I get it. But it also handcuffs the defensive player. I want a safety that attacks and flys around like Wilson did today.

How about 6 games without a single holding call against the other team? How about 12 men in the huddle at a critical moment that the league apologized for the next day? How about 2 tripping calls that neither ever happened?
I know it happens to everybody, but I see game changing screwups too often against the Cowboys.

The tripping vs. New England I'll give you but streaks like the no holds appear to happen like that annually. Detroit had a similar streak that very same year people were complaining. On the 12 men in the huddle, if you're talking about the Green Bay playoff game, the league never apologized for that because it was a legit call. The official's announcement of the penalty was wrong but Butler came in past the field numbers and went back out without participating in the play.

Loved his play today. How could you not? Too bad Diggs is hurt, would love to see these two play together. Add another young piece back there and this secondary may be in store for a bright future
