Why does Derrick Henry still hit big plays and Zeke doesn't?

I'd rather have Kareem Hunt then Zeke.

For as great as Zeke is we have no hardware to show for it. Nothing. Maybe 3.5 yards and a cloud of dust is not the way?
Guess who has more yards.

And Pollard cannot do what Zeke does.

Zeke is a very good chain moving pile driving RB. He gets the tough yards between the tackles. Often gets yards when there's nowhere to go.

Pollard is an explosive 3rd down back. He explodes through the hole and makes big plays.

This is one of the best combos in the NFL. Zeke takes the majority of the carries and softens 'em up, Pollard takes the top off.

Why is it whenever Pollard has a longer run people start screaming that he should get all the carries? It's just silly. How do you not see that it's the combo that's awesome?
Right, I don't think he'd do well as the main back. People thought that about Troy Hambrick until he actually became the starter.

we've been through this and i like Henry but his long runs do NOT lead to much bigger YPC over game or season. When i checked few weeks ago career avg Henry 4.8 Career average Zeke 4.6 i mean zekes had like 600 more carries..you haters just dont see that and yesterday Zeke 4.9 YPC and Henry 4.7 , without that last run Henry was under 4.0,so?? Zeke 21 -103 1 td 4.9YPC , cooks 27-115 4.3 YPC 1 td a fumble.. Zeke technically better then both yesterday..yet heres the hate train coming..

it laughable you let few nice runs which for fans to watch is great but overall zekes still getting it done..this year is NOT been a fair comp with out an OL and no qb and bad defense playing from behind etc etc.. I ge tit the fumbles left zeke open for some criticism as well it should have but really that was 2 games B2B it happens, hasn't fumbled since he came out publicly claimed his fault and said he would work hard on it..

Russ W had 10 Tos in 3 game stretch and they lost them all..

so 2020 not great for, pick a player same on the Dallas Cowboys, and zekes not alone..he has solid game and gets zero respect..

Just get Pollard off kick returns.
Problem is, we keep ignoring the KR position, and just shove someone in there.

For instance, Darnay Holmes went to the Giants w/ the 110th pick. We picked 123. If ever there was a time to trade up, here it was. Holmes is a super athlete who blew up the combine and is a noted returner. Why didn't we look? Because we think every CB has to be 6-1, and Holmes is 5-9.

I have no idea how he's doing, but there's just one example why we have Pollard returning. Get Holmes for the returns, and then you also have an ultra fast CB, whether he's starting or just a backup due to height.

Henry has a slow start, and so gets tackled before he gets started way too often. They're polar opposite backs.

Backs such as Zeke are better for winning super bowls than big play backs such as Henry.

This is a big play league.

I can appreciate the little play but Zeke is the master of the little play and it obvious doesn't correlate to winning anything.

2016? Now thats the Ezekiel Elliot I want and the win totals went up because of it. A homerun hitter.

The NFL is about explosive plays. Teams that are explosive win things.

Ezekiel Elliots might win small battles but they aint winning the wars.

I noticed that the majority of Pollards high yardage gain runs come when Elliott is not on the field and we're in a spread formation. It wouldn't be realistic to increase the frequency. So, this is working in low doses when the defense doesn't stack the line.
Which is a good thing and is working.
I never got why we don't run Zeke out of wide formations instead bringing the extra TEs in to clutter it all up. Both would be nice, etc.

they are both good so is chubbs, cooks etc its ok to give them all credit..some fans here constantly trying to put up comps and well Henry has surged the last few years but zeke was already there right out of te gate and has lost alittle but Henrys career had slow start and now hes in and offense similar to zekes for 3 seasons and it shows.. now zekes fault KM has changed the identity and tried to make this a passing Dak friendly offense, OL has had larger drop off then zeke , and this year well this was a mulligan to me.not fair to judge..

however those that want to Judge Emmitt smith played 13 years and had over 6 season under 4YPC only 3 above 4.5 and only ONE above 5YPC

.seriously when you rip zeke you are basically saying ES was product of a HOF team and great OL, QB, Coach, and defense..by this places standards ES suked!! he was slow , not many chnunk yards, hardly any long burst, and a volume back that got tons of carries behind a Great OL..sad LOL

True, but the teams who are ONLY about explosive plays lose to teams who pay more attention to TOP and how explosive play teams gas their D(ATL). At some point in a ballgame, a team is going to have to slow the game down and use up clock. There's a monster reason why knuckleheaded Legarratte Blount kept winning super bowls.

This is one of those things where if you started Pollard, he wouldnt do well. Teams are scheming for Zeke and he is a hard runner that will soften up the D. Ive seen people say Pollard should be the starter and I think he is a good relief back not the starter.
